Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner isn’t wasting any time finding love again — and this time, it looks like it’s for keeps.
The 72-year-old reality TV heartthrob just announced his engagement to retired teacher Lana Sutton, less than a year after the pair went public with their relationship. Turner, who famously divorced Theresa Nist — the woman he met and married on The Golden Bachelor’s first season — shared the happy news on Instagram with a sparkling set of engagement photos featuring Sutton’s diamond ring front and center.
“We’ve got BIG news. The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market,” Turner captioned the post. “I found my perfect match and she said ‘YES’. I love this woman.”
According to Turner, the couple’s romance started when Sutton reached out to him on Facebook — proving that even modern love can have an old-school twist. Since then, Turner’s social media has been filled with cozy couple shots, giving fans a peek at his life after reality TV.
Turner made headlines in early 2024 when he married Nist during a televised ceremony, only for the couple to announce their divorce three months later. Despite the short-lived marriage, Nist has nothing but good wishes for her ex.
“I really am happy for him,” she told reporters. “He found someone that really suits him, and that’s wonderful.”
Looks like The Golden Bachelor may have finally found his forever rose after all.
