Former President Joe Biden isn’t holding back when it comes to Donald Trump’s latest conspiracy theory — and this time, he’s calling it exactly what he thinks it is: total BS.
In a no-nonsense interview with The New York Times, Biden dismantled President Trump’s bizarre claim that clemency decisions made at the end of his term were rubber-stamped by aides using an autopen — and done without his knowledge. Trump has insisted that Biden, allegedly in cognitive decline, wasn’t making real decisions and was merely a figurehead.
“I made every single one of those,” Biden said flatly. “I understand why Trump would think that — because focus isn’t exactly his strong suit. But yes, I made every decision.”
Trump’s Late-Night Rant Goes Too Far
Trump first floated the theory back in March with a Truth Social rant that accused the Biden White House of secretly pardoning political rivals, including Dr. Anthony Fauci and General Mark Milley, without the president’s consent.
“Joe Biden did not sign them, and more importantly, he didn’t even know about them!” Trump fumed. “This could be criminal!”
But the White House — now under the command of Trump himself — has been scrambling to walk back that claim. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was forced to publicly invalidate the pardons, calling them “void” and “of no further force or effect.”
Biden: ‘I Was Involved in Every Step’
Biden explained that the autopen, a decades-old device used by multiple presidents (including Trump), was only a tool for efficiency — not deception.
“We were dealing with thousands of cases — people who had been in prison for years on nonviolent drug charges, folks stuck in legal limbo after the pandemic,” Biden said. “It was about justice. I made the calls.”
According to The Times, Biden personally approved commutations for over 2,500 low-level offenders and granted life-saving relief to nearly 1,500 people in home confinement. He also spared 37 of the 40 people facing federal execution.
GOP Probes, Biden’s Physician Pleads the Fifth
But Republicans aren’t letting up. The House Oversight Committee, now stacked with pro-Trump loyalists, has launched a formal investigation into Biden’s use of the autopen. Their probe escalated when Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, invoked the Fifth Amendment after being subpoenaed to testify about Biden’s mental health near the end of his presidency.
The move only fueled MAGA conspiracy theories online, with Trump allies claiming it “proved everything.”
Biden Laughs Off GOP Witch Hunt
For Biden, it’s more of the same — another Trump-driven smear campaign to distract from the chaos of his own administration.
“They’re liars. They know they’re lying,” Biden said. “They’ve done so badly, they need to shift the narrative. That’s all this is.”
He also admitted to issuing preemptive pardons for close family members — a controversial but legal move — explaining it was meant to shield them from Trump’s political revenge tactics.
“I know how vindictive he is,” Biden said. “It was about protecting them from endless legal fees and harassment. We all knew what was coming.”
As the 2026 midterms approach, this latest dust-up is yet another example of Trump’s weaponized misinformation colliding with Biden’s unapologetic defense of his legacy — even from outside the Oval Office.

If ( and this is a big if because he can’t even open up his beach chair and according to the secret service regularly get lost in his own closet) Biden actually signed all 2500+ Pardons that’s even worse because that makes him complacent in the bribery and pay for influence peddling of his entire family where by they have filed against their activities 170 SARs (suspicious activity reports) for receiving money from our adversaries! No one has that many. And of course the deep state did not investigate a single one!!!!!
