A new tell-all book by best-selling author Michael Wolff, All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America, has unveiled shocking revelations about the First Lady’s deteriorating relationship with Donald Trump.

The book, obtained by The Daily Beast, sheds light on Melania’s increasing distance from her husband, her absence from his campaign, and the transactional nature of their marriage.

“She F—ing Hates Him”

According to a longtime Mar-a-Lago insider interviewed by Wolff, Melania Trump’s feelings toward her husband are no secret within their inner circle. “She f—ing hates him,” the source bluntly stated, expressing disbelief that anyone would think otherwise.

Despite Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign being a highly publicized and dramatic affair, Melania was conspicuously absent from nearly all of it. While traditionally, a candidate’s spouse plays a prominent role in rallying supporters, Melania refused to make a single campaign appearance in the 18 months leading up to the Republican National Convention. Wolff describes the campaign’s frustration with her absence, noting that she outright declined to deliver what was supposed to be a “showstopper” speech at the event.

Instead, Melania made a rare, silent appearance at the RNC, standing beside Trump in a striking red dress as balloons fell from the ceiling.

Where Does Melania Live?

One of the book’s most intriguing claims is that even Trump’s closest aides have no idea where Melania resides. Wolff asserts that the former First Lady has been living separately from Trump for years, spending most of her time in New York City to be close to their son, Barron, who is attending NYU.

“Even in the downward spiral of their marriage, Trump refused to acknowledge the obvious,” Wolff writes. Campaign staffers reportedly tried to coax Melania into making public appearances, but she found their efforts amusing. When asked to accompany her husband to his first indictment in New York, she allegedly laughed and said, “Nice try.”

The “Part-Time First Lady” Concept

With growing speculation about her absence, Wolff claims that Trump’s team began floating the idea of Melania as a “part-time First Lady” should he return to the White House. The proposed arrangement would allow her to reside in Manhattan while fulfilling occasional ceremonial duties in Washington, an unprecedented approach for a presidential spouse.

A former campaign staffer told Wolff, “She was barely at the White House during the first term. This time, she’s making it clear she won’t even pretend.”

Trump’s Evasive Answers on Melania

In a September 2023 interview with Megyn Kelly, Trump became visibly uncomfortable when asked about Melania’s role in his life. According to Wolff, “This is the darkest Trump hole—nobody knows the nature of their marriage, not even the people closest to him.”

Some insiders speculate that Melania maintains a separate residence within Trump Tower, a claim that Trump has avoided addressing directly. Wolff even suggests that Trump strategically skipped testifying on the second day of his fraud trial in December 2023 to avoid being asked under oath about his wife’s whereabouts.

A Marriage of Convenience?

Wolff’s sources paint a picture of a marriage that is more transactional than romantic. “She’s like a special guest when they’re seen out in public together,” a Mar-a-Lago confidant remarked.

Despite the growing distance between them, Melania briefly stepped into the spotlight in October 2024 when she released her book, Melania. While the memoir was largely complimentary of her husband, some viewed its publication as a calculated move to establish her own legacy—separate from Trump’s chaotic political career.

Melania shocked many by offering to introduce Trump at an October 27 rally in Madison Square Garden. Some saw this as an olive branch, while others viewed it as a “pity move.”

Election Night Ultimatum

Perhaps the most telling moment came on election night in November 2024. Wolff writes that Melania “sent word that she would not appear with him unless it was an outright win.” When the victory was confirmed, she stood beside Trump, smiling for the cameras—another carefully choreographed appearance in a marriage full of them.

As Trump begins his second term, speculation swirls over what role, if any, Melania will play. If Wolff’s book is to be believed, America may be witnessing the first-ever “long-distance First Lady.”
