A former Soviet intelligence officer has claimed that Donald Trump was recruited by the KGB in 1987, fueling long-standing speculation about his relationship with Russia. Alnur Mussayev, a 71-year-old former Kazakh intelligence chief, alleged in a social media post that Trump was given the codename “Krasnov” and handled as a confidential asset.

According to Mussayev, who previously led Kazakhstan’s intelligence service, Trump was targeted during his first visit to Moscow as a real estate developer. “Our directorate recruited Donald Trump, a 40-year-old American businessman, under the pseudonym Krasnov,” Mussayev wrote. He said the KGB’s 6th Directorate, responsible for counter-intelligence within the Soviet economy, focused on recruiting Western businessmen for intelligence purposes.

Mussayev further claimed that Trump’s personal KGB file was recently removed from Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) archives and placed under the control of a Putin confidant. “Today, the personal file of resident ‘Krasnov’ has been removed from the FSB. It is being privately managed by one of Putin’s close associates,” he wrote in a follow-up comment.

While these allegations remain unverified, they add fuel to the ongoing scrutiny of Trump’s ties to Russia. Trump’s 1987 visit to Moscow was reportedly arranged by Soviet officials, raising questions at the time about potential intelligence-gathering efforts. According to Politico, a declassified KGB manual from 1985 advised Soviet officers to recruit “prominent figures in the West” as covert assets or unofficial contacts.

Trump has repeatedly denied any improper relationship with Russia. However, former White House officials, including Anthony Scaramucci, have expressed concerns about the former president’s deference to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “There is a mysterious hold there,” Scaramucci said on the podcast The Rest Is Politics: US. “I don’t know why it’s like this. [H.R.] McMaster couldn’t figure it out, [James] Mattis couldn’t figure it out, [John] Kelly couldn’t figure it out.”

Mussayev, who has survived multiple assassination attempts, acknowledged the risks of making such allegations. “I hope I’ll survive a third assassination attempt,” he wrote in his post.

The White House and Russia’s Foreign Ministry have not responded to requests for comment.

Historical Context: Trump’s Russian Connections

Trump’s relationship with Russia has been the subject of intense scrutiny for decades. In 2016, the U.S. intelligence community concluded that the Kremlin interfered in the presidential election to aid Trump’s victory. The Mueller investigation stopped short of proving criminal conspiracy but documented numerous contacts between Trump associates and Russian operatives.

In a 2018 Helsinki summit, Trump famously sided with Putin over U.S. intelligence agencies regarding election interference. Former officials, including John Bolton and Fiona Hill, have since warned that Trump’s behavior aligns with a cultivated asset rather than an independent leader.

While Mussayev’s claims remain unconfirmed, they reinforce a broader narrative: Trump’s entanglements with Moscow may have deeper roots than previously known. The question remains—will hard evidence ever surface?

  1. If MAGA would stop to think….
Who benefits from the USA stopping support to Ukraine?
Who benefits from the Trump stopping American aid to the sick and the poor in other countries?
Who benefits from Trump’s minions decimating the FBI?
Who benefits from putting a Russian sympathizer..OR maybe even a Russian asset as head of the National Intelligence ?
Who benefits of Trump’s discord with NATO allies….Maybe even taking the USA out of NATO.?
Who benefits from having our DOD managed by a incompetent drunkard whose only previous management experience ended with his firing for misuse of funds?

PUTIN, That is who will benefit….BUT MAGA is blind. I have always said that Trump works for Putin
