Former President Donald Trump, no stranger to controversy, reportedly endured one of his worst fears last August—plunging to his death in a plane once owned by the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The revelation comes from Michael Wolff’s latest book, All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America, which details the behind-the-scenes struggles of Trump’s 2024 campaign.
A Nightmare in the Skies
According to Wolff, Trump’s private jet—often referred to as “Trump Force One”—was grounded due to maintenance issues. In a rush to make it to a campaign stop in Aspen, Colorado, Trump’s team hastily chartered a Gulfstream jet. Mid-flight, as the aircraft encountered severe turbulence, a horrifying realization struck Trump: the plane had once belonged to Jeffrey Epstein.
“I’m going to die on Jeffrey Epstein’s plane!” Trump reportedly howled, as passengers clung to their seats through gut-wrenching drops in altitude.
Epstein’s Ghost Looms Over Trump
Jeffrey Epstein, who died in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 while facing charges of sex trafficking minors, had owned multiple private aircraft. One of those, a Boeing 727 infamously dubbed the “Lolita Express,” was used to ferry high-profile guests, including Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew. The Gulfstream that Trump was aboard had also once been part of Epstein’s fleet—an unsettling detail that came to light mid-flight, sending shockwaves through the cabin.
Passengers reportedly began praying as turbulence worsened. “It was like the hand of God was shaking that plane,” said an anonymous staffer. “Then someone mentioned Epstein, and the whole mood got even darker. It was surreal.”
Trump’s Fraught History with Epstein
Trump’s association with Epstein has long been a topic of scrutiny. The two were once close, often seen together at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Palm Beach resort. A now-infamous photograph from 2000 shows Trump and Melania Knauss (now Trump) posing alongside Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is now serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in Epstein’s crimes.
Despite their past friendship, Trump has repeatedly distanced himself from Epstein, claiming in 2019, “I was never a fan.” Wolff’s book, however, revives speculation about their ties, adding fresh intrigue to an already tumultuous election season.
Campaign Chaos and Private Jet Woes
Aircraft trouble has been a recurring problem for Trump’s 2024 campaign. His beloved 757, which sat dormant in upstate New York for years after his presidency, was plagued with mechanical failures. In one instance, a mechanic mistakenly deployed the emergency chute, rendering the plane temporarily unusable.
Following the botched flight on Epstein’s former jet, Trump’s ally and real estate mogul Steve Witkoff dispatched his personal aircraft to rescue the rattled candidate. Reportedly grateful, Trump tipped each flight crew member with signed $50 bills—one to keep as a souvenir, another to spend.
A Controversial Book and a Furious Response
Wolff’s book has ignited outrage among Trump’s inner circle. Susie Wiles, now White House Chief of Staff, and campaign strategist Chris LaCivita released a scathing statement denouncing Wolff as a “peddler of fake news.”
“A number of us have received inquiries from the disgraced author Michael Wolff, whose previous work can only be described as fiction,” the statement read. “We encourage others to completely disregard whatever nonsense he eventually publishes.”
The Bigger Picture
Wolff’s revelations come at a crucial time, as Trump’s 2024 campaign continues to dominate headlines. The turbulence Trump experienced on that fateful flight might just be a metaphor for his entire political journey—full of unexpected shocks, fierce denials, and an ever-present shadow of past controversies.
Whether voters will see this as another media hit job or a revealing glimpse into Trump’s behind-the-scenes struggles remains to be seen.
