Barron Trump Faces Chilling Iran Assassination Threat

Barron Trump has reportedly found himself in the crosshairs of an alarming Iranian threat — and protecting the president’s 20-year-old son may now require some serious security calculations.

The U.S. Secret Service confirmed it is aware of a disturbing video aired by Iranian state television that appeared to discuss targeting Barron, President Donald Trump’s youngest son.

The roughly three-minute broadcast claimed Barron was being closely watched and alleged that a staggering $10 million bounty had been placed on his life.

Iranian media also claimed those behind the video had tracked locations connected to the New York University student, along with vehicles and Secret Service personnel assigned to protect him. The broadcast further made claims about Barron’s private online activity, including Xbox communications.

Those allegations have not been independently verified.

Secret Service officials made clear they are taking the disturbing material seriously.

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” spokesman Nate Herring said.

The agency declined to reveal whether Barron’s security arrangements have already been changed, citing operational security.

But dramatically increasing protection around Barron may not be as straightforward as simply surrounding him with more agents.

Former Secret Service agent Cory Allen explained that officials must first evaluate whether those making the threat have the ability to actually carry it out.

“Can Iran carry it out? Do they have the means, the motivation, the capability, the access to do these things?” Allen told NewsNation’s Jesse Weber Live.

He said those factors would help determine whether the Secret Service changes Barron’s movements, security procedures or the resources assigned to protect him.

“It’s not a real simple question to answer,” Allen said.

The disturbing threat against Barron comes after Iranian media also published menacing material involving First Lady Melania Trump.

An earlier video circulated by the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency focused on Melania’s movements in New York and purported vulnerabilities in her security arrangements. Iranian media have repeatedly published threatening imagery involving members of the Trump family amid the escalating conflict between Washington and Tehran.

President Trump himself has also faced repeated threats attributed to Iran.

Reuters reported that U.S. officials received multiple warnings from Israel over the past year about alleged Iranian plans to assassinate Trump.

Those concerns reportedly became so serious during a trip to Turkey that security officials used an extraordinary aircraft deception.

Trump publicly appeared to board one plane along with staff members and members of the press, but he was reportedly moved onto another aircraft with only a small group of aides while the first plane departed without him.

Trump has since said he believes he is “number one” on Iran’s kill list.

Now, with an Iranian broadcast openly discussing his youngest son, the threat has become even more personal.

For the Secret Service, however, the challenge will be determining whether the terrifying rhetoric represents propaganda designed to intimidate the Trump family — or a credible threat requiring an even tighter security ring around Barron.
