A new Trump family favorite may be emerging — and Ivanka Trump could be losing her longtime place at the top.
President Donald Trump’s 19-year-old granddaughter, Kai Trump, has reportedly become the family member he most enjoys having by his side, replacing his eldest daughter as his most visible and favored companion.
Kai, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump, has appeared alongside her grandfather at a growing number of high-profile events. The pair have been spotted together everywhere from major sporting events to glitzy White House celebrations.
According to sources familiar with the family dynamic, Kai’s youthful energy and apparent devotion have made her especially popular with the 80-year-old president.
“Kai has replaced Ivanka as Donald’s favorite,” an insider told Hollywood reporter Rob Shuter for his Naughty But Nice Substack.
“She makes him laugh, keeps him feeling young, and genuinely loves being around him. He absolutely lights up whenever she’s with him.”
Kai has also turned her unusually close access to the president into a rapidly growing social media brand.
The teenager reportedly has around 1.5 million YouTube subscribers and roughly 3 million Instagram followers, where she regularly gives fans behind-the-scenes glimpses of life inside the Trump orbit.
Her posts have included photos aboard Air Force One, golf outings with her grandfather and tours of areas of the White House that most Americans will never see.
“Donald loves that Kai connects with a younger generation,” another source said.
“She’s fun, loyal and authentic. Right now, she’s the Trump everyone wants to see — and Donald couldn’t be prouder.”
Kai and her grandfather also share a love of golf, a sport that has long been central to Trump’s public image and private life.
In recent months, however, Kai has dramatically increased the president’s presence in her online videos, offering viewers an all-access look at Trump’s world.
During one recent White House vlog, Kai raised eyebrows by casually referring to the executive mansion as “my house.”
She recalled playing soccer through the halls during Trump’s first term and then took viewers through the Oval Office, where she showed off the president’s increasingly gold-heavy decorating choices.
“This is like his favorite thing on the planet, if you guys haven’t noticed,” Kai said while pointing to the gold fixtures.
“He loves gold. So, he added gold everywhere.”
She added that her grandfather has an intense eye for detail and personally decided which parts of the room needed a golden makeover.
“Everything that he thought should be gold, he made gold,” she said.
Kai also sat behind the Resolute Desk and displayed Trump’s famous button used to summon Diet Coke — another glimpse into the theatrical, highly personalized White House culture surrounding the president.
Her sudden rise comes as Ivanka Trump has largely stepped away from the political spotlight.
Ivanka, 44, was once one of the most powerful members of her father’s inner circle. She served as a senior adviser during his first administration alongside her husband, Jared Kushner, and was regularly seen accompanying Trump at official events.
But since leaving Washington, Ivanka has chosen a quieter life in South Florida, where she and Kushner are raising their three children.
She has also reportedly focused more heavily on family life and private real estate ventures rather than returning to a formal role in her father’s second administration.
“Ivanka chose a quieter life,” another insider explained.
“She didn’t lose Donald’s love, but she did give up the role of being the family member he most enjoys showing off. Kai has naturally stepped into that space.”
The shift appears to reflect a broader generational change inside the Trump dynasty.
While Ivanka once helped soften and polish her father’s political image, Kai now gives him something arguably more valuable: direct access to millions of young social media users.
And for a president who has always valued attention, loyalty and the appearance of family devotion, Kai’s growing popularity may have made her the perfect new addition to center stage.
