Donald Trump Jr. is once again facing online speculation after viewers fixated on his appearance during a recent livestream, with critics accusing the president’s eldest son of looking “high” while rambling about his hectic travel schedule between Florida and Washington, D.C.
The 48-year-old sparked a wave of reactions after promoting a May 5 episode of his Rumble podcast, Triggered, where he appeared with noticeably bloodshot and glassy eyes while discussing what he described as a “pretty crazy” week of nonstop travel.
Don Jr. told viewers the show was airing “a little off the normal schedule” because he had been bouncing back and forth between his South Florida home and the White House, where he said he recently spent time with his father, President Donald Trump.
But while the MAGA heir tried to focus on politics and his schedule, social media users quickly turned the conversation toward his appearance.

Viewers flooded the comments with accusations and jokes, with one critic writing, “Why are your eyes so bloodshot?” Another added, “Dude looks like he just ripped a few lines.”
Others mocked his squinting and glassy-eyed look, claiming he appeared exhausted — or worse.
The viral reactions immediately revived old rumors that have followed Don Jr. for years, especially after his highly energetic speech during the 2020 Republican National Convention, when critics similarly accused him of appearing overly stimulated on camera.
At the time, late-night host Stephen Colbert joked that Trump Jr. looked like he had “snorted a key,” referencing cocaine slang.
Don Jr. later denied the rumors during an appearance on Fox & Friends, blaming the look on lighting issues and firing back with a jab at Hunter Biden, whose past struggles with addiction have been widely publicized.
“No, no, no. You have me confused with Hunter Biden,” Trump Jr. said at the time.
Despite the fresh round of speculation, there is no evidence Trump Jr. was under the influence during the podcast. Some viewers suggested he may simply have been suffering from seasonal allergies or lack of sleep from constant travel.
Still, critics continued piling on after another livestream on May 7, where viewers again noticed puffy, irritated-looking eyes. While his appearance drew attention online, Trump Jr. continued speaking energetically throughout the broadcast without acknowledging the backlash.
The latest controversy highlights how even minor moments involving Trump family members can instantly explode online, especially as the 2026 political season continues heating up and scrutiny around the Trump inner circle intensifies.
