A rising MAGA lawmaker backed by President Donald Trump is facing explosive allegations from his ex-wife, who claims he subjected her to years of abusive behavior during their marriage.

According to court filings and reports obtained by the Daily Mail, Ohio Republican Rep. Max Miller has been accused of physically assaulting his former wife, Emily Moreno Miller — the daughter of Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno — during multiple incidents that allegedly unfolded in front of their young daughter.

Miller, who denies all wrongdoing, first rose to national prominence after working on Trump’s 2016 campaign and later serving in the Trump administration before winning a congressional seat in 2022 with Trump’s endorsement.

But the ugly accusations now threatening to engulf the congressman paint a deeply troubling picture behind closed doors.

One of the most serious allegations reportedly stems from a Feb. 1 custody exchange at Miller’s Ohio home. Emily Moreno allegedly told authorities that Miller struck her during the exchange while their 2-year-old daughter watched nearby. She claims the incident left bruises on her arm, elbow, and torso. Photos published by the Daily Mail reportedly showed visible redness and bruising.

Police in Bay Village, Ohio, confirmed they responded to a report involving child abuse that same day and said the investigation remains ongoing.

Another disturbing allegation dates back to June 2024, when Moreno claimed Miller hurled a pot of boiling water at her during an argument. According to the report, some of the water struck her chest while their infant daughter was present inside the home.

The couple officially divorced in 2025 after separating the previous year, agreeing to joint custody arrangements for their daughter. But tensions appear to have only escalated since then.

In court filings obtained by TMZ earlier this year, Moreno reportedly argued that Miller regularly spoke to her in an “aggressive and demeaning manner” and claimed his behavior posed risks to their child. She allegedly stated that continuing joint decision-making could “cause direct harm” to their daughter.

Miller’s attorney has strongly denied the accusations, while Moreno’s legal team insists the evidence backs up her claims.

“These images, combined with the documented history in court filings, directly contradict years of Mr. Miller’s denial,” Moreno’s attorney Andrew Zashin reportedly told the Daily Mail.

The controversy exploded even further after details surfaced about a deeply emotional letter Miller allegedly wrote to Moreno following the boiling water incident. In the message, reviewed by the Daily Mail, Miller reportedly called himself “worthless” and apologized repeatedly for failing to protect his family — though he stopped short of admitting to abuse.

Meanwhile, Miller took to X Thursday night to publicly blast the accusations, accusing the Daily Mail of acting as “stenographers” and claiming his ex-wife was attempting to destroy him. He also alleged extortion and released what he described as evidence supporting his side of the story.

The allegations have also revived older claims involving Miller’s former girlfriend, Stephanie Grisham, who previously accused him of physically assaulting her during their relationship in 2020. Miller denied those allegations as well, and no charges were filed.

Grisham later accused Trump’s White House of ignoring warning signs about abusive behavior among staffers, writing in a Washington Post opinion piece that powerful men often “get away with” misconduct while others stay silent.
