A bustling international airport turned into the scene of back-to-back horror after two tourists plunged to their deaths just hours apart — leaving stunned travelers and staff scrambling for answers.

The chilling incidents unfolded at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang, where authorities confirmed that a 27-year-old Chinese woman and a 30-year-old Algerian man died in separate, unrelated falls on the same day.

The first tragedy struck in the afternoon, when the young woman was spotted perched on a ledge near a departure area. Witnesses say she appeared visibly distressed — crying, screaming, and drawing alarmed attention from nearby passengers.

Airport staff rushed to intervene, trying to calm her down before things escalated. But in a heartbreaking moment caught on video, she suddenly shifted position and fell into a loading bay below.

Emergency crews raced her to Putrajaya Hospital, but despite hours of effort, she was pronounced dead later that evening.

Then, just when the shock of the first incident was still rippling through the terminal, tragedy struck again.

Hours later, a man identified as an Algerian tourist was seen behaving erratically near a third-floor balcony in Terminal 2. Witnesses say he opened his backpack, then abruptly sprinted toward a barrier — before leaping over it in a horrifying fall.

He was rushed to Cyberjaya Hospital but succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of the morning.

Authorities are now investigating both deaths, though police say the incidents appear to be unrelated. The second case is being treated as a suspected suicide.

For travelers who witnessed the events, the double tragedy has left a lasting mark.

What should have been a routine day of departures turned into a nightmare — raising fresh concerns about airport safety and mental health crises unfolding in public spaces.

Investigations remain ongoing.
