Shocking ‘Engraved’ Bullets Used Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

Charlie Kirk is dead—and the clues left behind are as chilling as they are politically explosive.

The 31-year-old far-right activist and close Trump ally was gunned down Wednesday evening during a campaign-style event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Now, authorities say the weapon left behind contains more than forensic evidence—it may hold the killer’s ideology engraved on the bullets themselves.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, investigators discovered a .30 caliber bolt-action hunting rifle wrapped in a towel and abandoned in a wooded area just off campus. Inside the magazine: three unspent rounds allegedly inscribed with phrases referencing “trans ideology” and “anti-fascist resistance.”

The FBI has not publicly confirmed the inscriptions, and no images of the bullets have been released. But a source described in the Journal as familiar with the case says the internal law enforcement bulletin contained these details.

The spent cartridge left in the chamber suggests it was the weapon used to fire the fatal shot—one that struck Kirk in the neck while he addressed a crowd of over 500 students. He was pronounced dead just hours later.

Kirk’s killing came as he stood on a stage discussing transgender rights and mass shootings—two of the most polarizing issues in today’s political landscape.

Founder of Turning Point USA, Kirk rose to prominence during Trump’s first term by mobilizing young conservatives and sparking outrage at colleges across the country. His rhetoric often targeted transgender people and progressive causes, labeling them “Marxist threats to American values.” He was also instrumental in supporting President Trump’s reelection campaign in 2024.

“Charlie Kirk was a patriot,” President Trump wrote in a Truth Social post announcing Kirk’s death just two hours after it was confirmed. “He was taken from us by the radical left. We will not rest until justice is served.”

But critics argue that Kirk himself helped inflame the toxic climate that may have fueled this violence.

“This was a tragic act of violence—but Kirk built a career radicalizing young men and demonizing marginalized communities,” said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action. “We can mourn the man while acknowledging the very real damage he caused.”

Initially, the FBI believed they had their man. On Wednesday night, they took a suspect into custody, only to release him hours later after determining he had no connection to the shooting.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Bohls gave a brief statement Thursday morning, saying the rifle was undergoing forensic analysis at an FBI lab.

“We recovered impressions from footwear, a palm print, and forearm markings at the scene where the shooter appears to have been positioned,” Bohls said. “We are following every lead.”

Meanwhile, grainy footage circulating online shows a suspected shooter positioned atop a building roughly 200 yards from Kirk’s location. The FBI confirmed that the sniper likely fired from an elevated position and fled into the nearby woods.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika, and their two young children. In an emotional Instagram post Thursday morning, Erika wrote, “My heart is shattered. The world lost a fighter, and our children lost their father.”

Kirk’s death has already ignited a fresh round of political theater.

Republicans in Congress are calling for “Antifa to be declared a domestic terror organization,” despite no confirmed suspect or motive. House Speaker Elise Stefanik vowed to “hunt down the radical who did this,” while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in Kirk’s honor.

Democrats, meanwhile, are urging calm—and reminding the public that the investigation is ongoing.

“Violence in any form is unacceptable,” said Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA). “But let’s not turn tragedy into a talking point until we know the facts.”

Kirk’s assassination—no matter the motive—comes at a time of rising political violence in America. The Department of Homeland Security has repeatedly warned of the growing threat posed by both far-right and far-left extremists, particularly in online spaces.

And while no group has taken responsibility, the alleged bullet engravings—if confirmed—point to a disturbing and personal manifesto left behind by the shooter.
