Harrison Ford just dropped one of the most unexpected — and hilarious — revelations of his career: Jay Leno is 3D-printing him a custom toilet seat.

During an interview with NPR’s Rachel Martin, the 82-year-old Hollywood legend opened up about his bizarre bathroom predicament. Ford explained that one of his toilets uses an older model seat that’s no longer in production. After years of scouring stores and online listings, he had hit a dead end — until a lightbulb moment last week.

“I’m sitting around one day saying, ‘Can I 3D print this? Aah… Jay Leno!’” Ford said with a laugh.

The Bathroom Dilemma No One Saw Coming

Ford revealed that the seat had become “discolored in a way that’s really unattractive,” but replacing it proved impossible. That’s when he remembered his old friend Jay Leno’s famously high-tech garage. Fifteen years ago, Leno gave Ford a private tour of his machinery-filled workshop, introducing him to the world of 3D printing long before it became mainstream.

Now, the late-night legend has stepped up in a big way.

“He embraced the project in a way I never could have imagined,” Ford admitted.

A Legendary Garage and a Hollywood Friendship

While most people know Leno for his passion for cars — showcased on his hit YouTube series Jay Leno’s Garage — it turns out his space is also stocked with cutting-edge technology, including industrial 3D printers. Leno’s workshop is a haven for custom creations, and Ford’s unusual request was right up his alley.

According to Ford, Leno has taken the project seriously, ensuring that the seat will be a perfect match. And yes, the actor confirmed, the new 3D-printed throne accessory will be fully functional and installed in his office bathroom.

From Blockbusters to Bathroom Breakthroughs

It’s not every day that Indiana Jones calls on a fellow icon to rescue his plumbing, but Ford couldn’t be more grateful. Fans are already buzzing online, joking about the “toilet seat saga” and imagining what other strange Hollywood favors might be exchanged behind the scenes.

For now, Ford says he’s just excited to finally have his bathroom problem solved — and to have a story that’s guaranteed to make people laugh.

“Leave it to Jay,” he joked. “Of all the things in the world, he’s saving my toilet.”
