Martha Stewart is slamming the brakes on one of the juiciest casting rumors to hit Bravo fans this summer — and she’s doing it with her trademark, cool-as-a-cucumber flair.

For weeks, whispers in reality TV circles claimed the 84-year-old domestic goddess was in talks to join The Real Housewives of New York City, with Page Six even reporting that producers — and possibly Andy Cohen himself — had their sights set on making her the crown jewel of the show’s upcoming revival.

Some insiders painted a picture of Stewart sipping cocktails alongside the RHONY cast while serving up biting one-liners only she could deliver. But Stewart’s longtime rep, Susan Magrino, crushed the fantasy in one swift quote: “Not Martha. She says she is not a ‘Housewife.’”

The flat denial hasn’t stopped fans from imagining what could have been — Stewart navigating wine-fueled dinner parties, critiquing décor in Hamptons beach houses, and verbally sparring with Bravo’s sharpest personalities. But for now, it’s all a dream. A Bravo spokesperson also confirmed that while the network is “heavily” casting for the next season, Stewart’s name is not on the roster.

Still, Stewart’s history with the RHONY universe has been far from boring. She once publicly called out Luann de Lesseps’ ex-husband Tom D’Agostino for failing to return her “favorite apple pie dish” — a shade-throwing moment that remains iconic for Housewives historians.

And her long-running tension with Bethenny Frankel is practically made for reality TV. Nearly a decade ago on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Frankel joked that Stewart “should be a housewife” just to “get paid to rip me.” Frankel added with a smirk, “She doesn’t like me. She never really has… She just never misses the opportunity to say something negative about me or my products.”

The Real Housewives of New York City, which debuted in 2008, has delivered 15 seasons of champagne-fueled drama, glittering parties, and the kind of cutting remarks that become instant GIFs.

Season 16 is now in development after rumors swirled about the show’s possible cancellation — speculation that Cohen was quick to shoot down, insisting the team is simply taking its time to assemble a knockout cast. Alongside Stewart, other celebrity names making the rumor mill rounds include Summer House alums Paige DeSorbo and Lindsay Hubbard.

As for Stewart, she’s steering her attention toward a different kind of glamour: skincare. This September, she’s launching Elm Biosciences, a beauty line she developed with celebrity dermatologist Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali.

The range will debut with a serum and oral supplement that Stewart swears by. “I have used it religiously for quite a while now, and my skin is pretty fabulous,” she told the Wall Street Journal — a comment that all but dares you to compare her flawless complexion to women half her age.

So while Stewart won’t be joining the RHONY ladies for martini lunches or yacht-side meltdowns, she’s still very much in the business of building an empire — just not one that involves flipping a table… yet.

  1. Don’t care what Martha does as long as we aren’t subjected to any more pictures of her in a bathing suit…
