CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten didn’t hold back after reviewing a new poll showing President Donald Trump taking a beating on nearly every major issue — and he’s blaming more than just policy.
“Just horrible across the board,” Enten posted on X, formerly Twitter, reacting to the latest numbers from Quinnipiac University. “Definitely one of Trump’s worst polls.”
The nationwide survey, released Wednesday, polled 1,265 registered voters and revealed widespread disapproval of Trump’s performance. A staggering 54% of respondents said they disapproved of how Trump is handling his job as president, while 53% said they viewed him unfavorably overall.
Trump’s economic agenda also appears to be backfiring. His much-hyped “Big Beautiful Bill” on spending and taxes is underwater with voters — 53% oppose it. The bill even reignited tensions between Trump and his former ally Elon Musk, who openly criticized the proposal.
Enten pointed out that the poll numbers have likely been dragged down not just by unpopular policies, but by a string of recent federal raids and legal entanglements that continue to dominate headlines.
Voters also gave Trump failing grades on a wide range of hot-button issues, including immigration, deportations, trade, college campuses, and global conflicts like Israel-Hamas and the war in Ukraine.
Enten’s verdict? “Just bad stuff all around.”
