Tom will offer his own musical tribute to the telethon alongside Tom Parker and the Wanted.
The evening of entertainment is hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr, Adam Hills and Maya Jama and several special programmes starring a number of celebrities.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Tom expanded his prolific back catalogue in May of this year with the release of his 41st studio album.
‘Surrounded By Time’ saw Tom reimagine a dozen songs, with production by the singer’s previous collaborator Ethan Johns.
The album features spoken word, jazzy instrumentation and even a cover version resembling a Radiohead track.

Surrounded By Time debuted at number one in the UK album chart, Tom’s first crown for over 20 years.
Tom performed some of the new music at gigs last month and has more UK and European dates pencilled in for December and next year.
The album is Tom’s first since his wife Linda Trenchard passed away in 2016 after a battle with lung cancer.
The couple were married for 59 years, although their relationship was pushed to the limit by Tom’s string of extramarital affairs, to which he has previously confessed.
Author Sean Smith detailed some of Tom’s activities in his 2015 book, ‘Tom Jones – The Life’.

The writer claimed that Linda had once issued him an ultimatum after he admitted to cheating.
The Sun published extracts of the book, including a passage where Linda became suspicious that he was having an affair with Mary Wilson of The Supremes.
When Tom admitted they had been having an affair, she is quoted as saying: “You’d better straighten it out, because you won’t be able to do anything without your balls.”
The encounter occurred after Linda had reportedly told Tom’s then-publicist Chris Hutchins, who is quoted in the book, to pay her husband a visit.
Mr Hutchins said: “He told me the next day that they were lying there and they had just made love and Linda started crying.
“And she said, ‘When I think that b***h has been lying on these sheets’.”
Mr Hutchins claimed Tom and his assistant Chris Ellis got Mary out of the flat.
He said: “They got Mary out and then went around and removed every trace of her.
“Linda came in and said, ‘Where is that woman?’ and Tom said, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about’. And she said, ‘Mary Wilson, she’s been here’.
“And he said, ‘No, she hasn’t’. But Linda carried on checking the wardrobes, everything.

“Finally she opened the oven, the one place the boys had forgotten.
“Now Mary Wilson was a great cook and had prepared a meal the previous evening, which they hadn’t yet eaten. Linda says, ‘Oh yeah! And who cooked this?’
“And Tom said, quick as a flash, ‘Chris Ellis’. But Chris couldn’t do beans on toast. So Tom said, ‘He’s been taking cooking lessons’.”

I just lost all respect for Tom and his socks and even more for his wife for putting up with it. If Mary isn’t dead – her too
And, whatever happened to Tom’s son who was conceived in an affair with Miss World? The boy looks just like his father. It is my understanding that Tom wants nothing to do with his son. Sad, because it was not his son’s fault as to who his father was. Tom did the right thing to pay child support because it was proven that he was the child’s father.
