A terrifying scene unfolded in the heart of Lower Manhattan when an MTA vehicle erupted into a massive fireball just steps from Wall Street’s famous Charging Bull statue.

Shocking video from the Tuesday evening rush hour shows the car burning intensely outside the MTA’s headquarters at 2 Broadway before it suddenly exploded, sending frightened bystanders running for their lives.

The dramatic blast happened near Broadway and Stone Street, only a block away from one of New York City’s most recognizable landmarks.

Footage showed thick black smoke pouring into the street as flames swallowed the vehicle. Moments later, the fire appeared to intensify, triggering a huge burst of flames that stunned people nearby.

Onlookers could be seen scrambling away from the area as the fireball lit up the busy Financial District.

Police and firefighters rushed to the scene around 5:42 p.m., according to the FDNY. Crews worked for nearly 90 minutes before the fire was fully brought under control, sources said.

Thankfully, officials said no one was injured in the frightening incident.

Photos from the aftermath showed the vehicle completely charred and sitting outside a Starbucks, with emergency crews and bystanders nearby.

The MTA later confirmed the burned-out vehicle belonged to the agency, but referred questions about the cause of the blaze to the FDNY.

There have been no reports suggesting the fire was suspicious, though the incident remains under investigation.

For now, the wild video has left New Yorkers stunned after a normal rush-hour evening near Wall Street suddenly turned into a scene that looked straight out of an action movie.
