Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is once again turning her fire on President Donald Trump — this time over the administration’s dramatic release of long-secret UFO files that sparked chaos, conspiracy theories, and outrage online.

The Georgia Republican made it crystal clear Friday that she was not buying the White House’s latest push for “transparency” on unidentified flying objects and alleged extraterrestrial encounters. Instead, Greene blasted the move as political theater meant to distract Americans from soaring gas prices, foreign wars, and the still-unreleased Epstein documents.

“I just don’t,” Greene wrote in a furious post on X when asked about the UFO revelations. “I’m so sick of the ‘look at the shiny object’ propaganda while they wage foreign wars, let rapists and pedophiles run free, and ruin the value of our dollar.”

The comments marked another stunning public split between Trump and one of his most vocal MAGA allies. Greene, once considered among Trump’s fiercest defenders in Congress, has increasingly broken ranks with the president over issues including the Jeffrey Epstein files and growing tensions in the Middle East.

And she wasn’t done.

“Unless they roll out live aliens and test demo UFOs or actually admit what we know this really is then I have way better things to do on this Friday,” Greene snapped.

Her frustration appeared aimed directly at the Pentagon’s massive declassification drop, which included decades of UFO photos, military footage, astronaut recordings, and bizarre sightings dating back nearly 80 years.

Among the files were claims tied to the 1972 Apollo 17 mission, including images of mysterious triangular formations in space that investigators reportedly could not fully explain. Other materials showed strange star-shaped objects moving through the sky and testimony from military personnel who described unexplained aerial encounters.

The Trump administration promoted the release as a historic moment for government transparency.

“In an effort for Complete and Maximum Transparency, it was my Honor to direct my Administration to identify and provide Government files related to Alien and Extraterrestrial Life,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The people can decide for themselves, ‘WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?’”

But Greene immediately turned that message against him.

“The most transparent administration in history still hasn’t released all the Epstein files or arrested anyone,” she fired back on X. “But rolled out some UFO files today so you would get so excited that you forgot you are paying over $4.50/gallon because they are fighting another foreign war they said they would no longer fight.”

In another eyebrow-raising post, Greene even hinted that the alleged UFO phenomena could actually be supernatural entities from biblical prophecy rather than extraterrestrials.

“Releases only a few files on fallen angels or demons,” she wrote, before pivoting back to criticizing U.S. involvement overseas and demanding answers about reported bombings tied to the Iran conflict.

The explosive rant quickly lit up social media, where many users echoed Greene’s belief that the UFO release was timed to pull public attention away from more politically damaging controversies.

One critic mocked the release by writing: “The government releasing Apollo UFO files feels historic until you realize the conclusion is still: ‘We found a weird thing. Please argue online forever.’”

Another user added: “Quick release the UFO files to distract from the Iran war, that was used to distract from the Epstein files.”

The growing backlash highlights a deeper fracture inside Trump’s political base, where even loyal MAGA figures are beginning to question the administration’s priorities as tensions rise abroad and unanswered questions surrounding Epstein continue to fuel outrage online.

  1. Trump has released more Epstein files than any other administration, by far. Some even got released without proper redaction (removing victim info). Given the sheer amount released, even if there’s more, it’s not reasonable to suppose he’s protecting either himself or any other specific person(s).

And ALL POLITICS is to some degree misdirection, because darn near nothing is unopposed. So there’s a constant incentive to make people look one way while you get something done somewhere else that roughly half of them don’t like.

    Boring.
