Melania Trump is forcefully trying to shut down renewed questions about Jeffrey Epstein, but the explosive allegations tied to the convicted sex offender are once again dragging the first family into an ugly and deeply unsettling spotlight.
In a striking statement from the White House on Thursday, the first lady insisted she never had any kind of relationship with Epstein and demanded an end to what she called false claims linking her to the disgraced financier and sex trafficker.
“The lies linking me to the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” Melania said. “I have never been friends with Epstein.”
But the fresh denial landed against a backdrop of newly revived scrutiny, including old recordings in which Epstein allegedly boasted about his ties to Donald Trump and Melania. Those recordings, obtained by The Daily Beast and published before the 2024 election, captured Epstein making eyebrow-raising claims about his relationship with the Trumps, including one especially lurid allegation involving his infamous private jet.
Epstein reportedly claimed that the first time Donald Trump slept with Melania happened on board his plane, the Boeing 727 that became widely known as the “Lolita Express.” Melania flatly rejected that account on Thursday, saying she was never on Epstein’s plane and had no involvement in his world.
“I was never on Epstein’s plane and never visited his private island,” she said, adding that she had no knowledge of his abuse of victims and was never involved “in any capacity.”
The claims at the center of the controversy trace back to conversations Epstein had with author Michael Wolff in August 2017, while Wolff was working on his bestselling book Fire and Fury. In those recordings, Epstein described himself as Trump’s “closest friend for 10 years,” a stunning assertion given the mountain of scandal that has since engulfed everyone connected to him.
Melania also addressed her past contact with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking. She attempted to downplay the significance of a resurfaced 2002 email exchange, calling it nothing more than casual communication.
“I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice Maxwell,” she said. “My polite reply to her email doesn’t amount to anything more than a trivial note.”
But that explanation is already raising eyebrows.
The email, which was released as part of a batch of Epstein-related documents earlier this year, appeared warm and familiar in tone. Melania signed the message “Love, Melania,” while Maxwell responded with the affectionate phrase “Sweet pea.” For critics, the language made the exchange look far more personal than the first lady now wants to admit.
And the email controversy is not the only issue fueling fresh questions.
Another message included in the released Epstein files, sent by an unidentified person after the 2016 election, appeared to reference the beginning of Donald and Melania’s relationship in a way that again pulled Epstein into the story.
The sender wrote that they remembered flying back with Donald Trump on Epstein’s plane during the same weekend Trump allegedly met Melania in Florida. The message claimed Trump repeatedly emerged from a bedroom raving about her appearance in crude language.
Melania rejected the broader implication entirely, insisting Epstein did not introduce her to Trump.
“Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump,” she said. “I met my husband by chance at a New York City party in 1998.”
According to the first lady, the first time she ever crossed paths with Epstein was not until 2000, when she attended an event with Trump. She also stressed that she has no firsthand knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and is not a witness to any of the abuse he carried out.
Still, the timing of her denial is only likely to intensify interest in the story, especially as old documents, private recordings, and long-buried associations continue to surface. For years, Epstein’s orbit touched some of the most powerful and famous people in America, and every new release seems to reopen questions that many in Trumpworld would rather keep buried.
Melania’s statement may have been intended to slam the door shut. Instead, it has thrown gasoline on a fire that was already burning.

Melania Trump should never mention Epstein again and should refuse any further questions about him and Maxwell… or enemies of the USA will simply use it again… as we see here…
