In a twist even reality TV couldn’t script, President Donald Trump has announced plans to celebrate both his 79th birthday and America’s 250th anniversary by turning the White House lawn into a UFC fight arena — a move that left even Joe Rogan speechless.

At the Kennedy Center Honors earlier this month, Trump told reporters he intends to host “eight to nine” Ultimate Fighting Championship bouts right outside the West Wing next June — complete with a custom-built outdoor venue for up to 6,000 spectators.

“The biggest fights they’ve ever had,” the president bragged. “Every one is a championship fight. And every one’s a legendary type of fight.”

The event, tentatively called “Fight Night on the Lawn,” is being billed by Trump allies as a patriotic spectacle to celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial. But critics — and even die-hard UFC fans — are baffled by the logistics and the optics.

On his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan couldn’t hide his disbelief when the idea was brought up by producer Jamie Vernon. “What were you just saying?” Rogan asked, stopping mid-show. “It sounds so crazy.”

When Vernon explained Trump’s plan, Rogan shook his head. “First of all, there’s only eight weight classes,” he said. “So how’s there gonna be nine title fights?”

Rogan’s guest, middleweight fighter Brendan Allen, laughed and admitted he had no plans to participate. “I can’t imagine the security, the behind-the-scenes, how much stuff’s really going to happen,” Allen said. “I’m just like, uh…”

Rogan agreed. “The security would be insane. All the protocols, all that extra s— in your head before you fight. That’s a lot of weird pressure, man.”

The proposed “White House UFC event” comes amid Trump’s ongoing effort to fuse politics with entertainment — a tactic that’s become his hallmark in his second term. The president, who has long courted UFC head Dana White and attended several fights, has used the sport’s popularity to connect with younger male voters, a key demographic for his re-election strategy.

“This is Trump at his most Trump,” said Dr. James Carville, a political analyst at Georgetown University. “He’s blurring the line between the Oval Office and pay-per-view — trying to turn government into a spectacle.”

Rogan, who has called UFC fights since 1997, added that the outdoor setting could make the event miserable for fighters and fans alike. “It’s gonna be hot and muggy in D.C.,” he said. “In Abu Dhabi, they tried outdoor fights. It was awful — bugs the size of small birds flying around.”

Even so, sources close to the administration told Politico that early designs for the pop-up arena are already being reviewed by the Secret Service, which reportedly has “serious reservations” about crowd control and security near the White House perimeter.

“Every move has to be cleared,” one unnamed security consultant said. “If Trump wants cage fights 100 feet from the Rose Garden, that’s going to take more than a permit.”

For Trump, the event could serve as both a personal victory lap and a political statement. “It’ll be the most watched thing ever,” he told reporters. “Bigger than the Super Bowl. Everyone will want to see it.”

Whether that prediction holds true or not, Rogan’s final reaction may have summed up the mood best: “If he actually pulls this off,” he said, laughing, “that might be the wildest thing a president has ever done.”
