President Trump in Complete Crisis as Epstein Email Scandal Erupts

President Donald Trump is said to be in full-blown crisis mode after thousands of newly released emails from convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein reignited questions about Trump’s long-denied ties to the disgraced financier.

The explosive claims come from journalist and Trump biographer Michael Wolff, who told The Daily Beast’s Inside Trump’s Head podcast that the president has been “completely freaking out” since the documents surfaced earlier this week.

“He doesn’t know what to do,” Wolff said. “He’s misplayed this every step of the way. I think he feels cornered—and that’s not a feeling Donald Trump handles well.”

The trove of emails reportedly contains dozens of messages between Epstein, his associates, and people within Trump’s orbit. One 2018 message from Epstein allegedly warned he could “take Trump down.” In another, from early 2019, Epstein claimed Trump “of course knew about the girls” and had even asked Ghislaine Maxwell “to stop.”

Those words—if authentic—cut at the heart of one of Trump’s most enduring denials: that his relationship with Epstein was distant and purely social.

Trump once called Epstein a “terrific guy,” telling New York Magazine in 2002, “He likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.” That quote, long buried in magazine archives, is now circulating again as protesters outside the White House project Epstein’s face on the building’s north façade.

According to Wolff, chaos now defines the Trump administration’s internal response.

“They don’t know whose responsibility it is,” Wolff said. “Nobody wants to be the one to open an email and find something that could destroy their career. It’s all chickens with their heads cut off.”

He compared the disarray to early 2017, when Trump’s first term spiraled into investigations and resignations that culminated in the Mueller probe. “It’s déjà vu,” he said. “Everything that could go wrong seems to be going wrong again.”

Sources inside the West Wing reportedly describe aides “on edge,” wary of even discussing Epstein’s name in meetings. One former staffer, speaking anonymously, said, “Everyone’s walking on eggshells. It’s not just about what’s in the emails—it’s about who knew what and when.”

The White House has dismissed Wolff’s claims as baseless. Communications Director Steven Cheung blasted the author, telling The Daily Beast that “the only person freaking out is Michael Wolff for seemingly acting as the PR agent for his good friend Jeffrey Epstein.”

Trump himself has remained publicly silent since the email release, a rare move for a president known for his online tirades. His last post on Truth Social—a vague remark about “fake stories and fake people”—has only fueled speculation that the scandal has struck a nerve.

Outside a Washington, D.C. bookstore, activists unveiled a life-sized statue depicting Trump and Epstein holding hands—an image that quickly went viral on social media. The sculpture, created by a local art collective known for political satire, was removed within hours but sparked outrage and debate online.

“The statue might be art, but the message is real,” said activist Leila Torres. “Americans deserve to know the truth about who their president kept company with.”

Wolff, who has faced criticism for advising Epstein years before his death, defended his past involvement.

“I have no regrets,” he told podcast host Joanna Coles. “Jeffrey Epstein was a monster—but he also had important things to say about the powerful men who enabled him. Donald Trump was one of them.”
