She didn’t stop there — her post spiraled into a string of anti-Muslim remarks that drew swift condemnation online, even from within conservative circles.

The “Qatar Deal” That Sparked the Firestorm

The controversy erupted after reports surfaced that the Trump administration had approved the transfer of operational control of an Air Force installation in Idaho to Qatar — the same nation the president himself once accused of “funding Islamic terrorism.”

Qatar, a wealthy U.S. ally that hosts a major U.S. military base in the Middle East, has long been scrutinized for its ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Trump’s new partnership — which White House aides framed as a “strategic trade-off for stability in the Gulf” — came just months after Qatar gifted the former president a Boeing 747 and inked a joint golf-course venture with the Trump Organization in Doha.
