Wrestling icon Jerry “The King” Lawler is in recovery mode after suffering another stroke — but this fighter isn’t backing down.
TMZ Sports reports that the 75-year-old WWE Hall of Famer experienced the stroke last Friday while staying at one of his homes in Florida. Thankfully, his daughter is stepping in to help and is bringing him back to his main residence, where he’ll focus on healing.
Lawler had been scheduled to appear at the HorrorHound Weekend convention in Cincinnati this week, but organizers canceled his appearance on Monday, citing “personal matters.”
This isn’t Jerry’s first serious health scare. Fans will remember he had a massive stroke back in 2023, which landed him in the ICU for several days. He bounced back then — and it looks like he’s determined to do the same now.
In fact, this is the third stroke Lawler has suffered. He also dealt with one in 2018. And who could forget that terrifying moment in 2012, when he collapsed live on air during a WWE “Monday Night RAW” broadcast after going into cardiac arrest?
Despite it all, “The King” has always bounced back. Most recently, fans spotted him in great spirits back in February during a WWE “Smackdown” taping in his home state of Tennessee.
Sources close to Jerry say he’s expected to make a full recovery — and fans everywhere are sending him well wishes.
