Loni Anderson’s ‘Incredibly Rare’ Cause of Death Revealed

Loni Anderson’s cause of death has finally been revealed, weeks after the beloved WKRP in Cincinnati star tragically passed away at 79.

According to her death certificate, Anderson died from metastatic uterine leiomyosarcoma, an “incredibly rare” and aggressive form of cancer that typically begins in the uterus before spreading to other parts of the body.

Her publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan, previously confirmed on August 3 that the actress had died after a “prolonged illness,” while her family released a heartbreaking statement: “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother.”

Best known for her iconic role as Jennifer Marlowe on the hit CBS sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, Anderson became a household name in the late ’70s and early ’80s. She also appeared in films like A Night at the Roxbury and lent her voice to the animated classic All Dogs Go to Heaven.

Her personal life often made headlines, especially her highly publicized marriage to Hollywood superstar Burt Reynolds. The pair tied the knot in 1988 but divorced in 1994 after a turbulent relationship marked by explosive allegations, accusations of infidelity, and bitter disputes over child support for their adopted son, Quinton.

Despite their messy split, Anderson later admitted she still grieved Reynolds after his death in 2018, calling him “a big part of my life for twelve years” and remembering his “great laugh.”

Anderson was married four times and is survived by two children, one of whom she adopted with Reynolds.
