Her sudden disappearance left her family desperate for answers. “Please let us have closure, because there’s never going to be closure until Tori returns,” her brother, Jason Hamel, pleaded on local television last year.

The search for Milsak drew in police, the FBI, and a swarm of community volunteers. In September 2024, the Hot Springs Police Department publicly asked for help, warning that Milsak “may have mental health concerns.” For months, silence.
