President Donald Trump took a slight tumble Sunday while boarding Air Force One—just moments after floating the possibility of invoking the Insurrection Act in response to immigration protests in Los Angeles. And social media didn’t let it slide.
The stumble happened after Trump spoke with reporters in Hagerstown, Maryland, on his way to Camp David. When asked whether he would consider using the Insurrection Act to quell unrest, Trump responded, “Depends on whether or not there’s an insurrection.” When pressed further, he added, “No, no, but you have violent people. And we’re not going to let them get away with it.”

Trump, accompanied by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who also reportedly tripped while boarding, told reporters, “We’re going to have troops everywhere. We’re not going to let this happen to our country. We’re not going to let our country be torn apart like it was under Biden.”
Despite the serious tone of his remarks, attention quickly shifted online to the president’s brief misstep as he climbed the stairs to Air Force One. Critics on social media wasted no time drawing comparisons to the many times Trump mocked former President Joe Biden for similar stumbles.
“Time to get Old Man Trump fitted for a wheelchair,” tweeted attorney Ron Filipkowski. Another user joked, “I’m surprised he hasn’t replaced those stairs with a portable escalator.”
Political commentator Jason DeSanto wrote, “More beta energy,” while journalist Aaron Rupar added, “When Joe Biden did stuff like this, Fox would play the clips over and over like it was as significant as the moon landing.”
The moment rekindled memories of Trump’s own criticism of Biden’s fall during the 2023 Air Force graduation in Colorado. At the time, Trump said it was “not inspiring” for military graduates to see the president fall, though he added, “I hope he wasn’t hurt.”
Trump also once recounted gingerly walking down a slick ramp at West Point in 2020, calling it “like an ice-skating rink” and defending his caution.
The irony wasn’t lost on many, especially after a grueling 2024 campaign season that saw President Biden step aside due to mounting health concerns, leaving Vice President Kamala Harris to take the Democratic mantle.

More important was Biden didn’t know where he even was or was he even in charge as president! Even if you hate Trump, at least everyone knows he’s in charge and he is who we voted for!
Let’s see how things go… One stumble does not make for a problem. Biden was a constant stumbling fool. And Trump is working non stop, where Biden worked a total of what, 45 days over 4 years?

He just made a miss step!
as did biden, make mis-steps. many times trump hasn’t been sure which way to go. pres. are everywhere. it gets confusing. just pointing out that trump is no different from biden. everybody has issues when your being dragged around place to place. doesn’t mean your mind is gone. neither trump, nor biden. BUT, no keep accusing biden for the same shit trump is doing & trying to make it different, or okay just cuz it’s trump. hell, we ALL do it. i’m a clutz, but my brain is still excellent. the stumbles mean nothing, unless it becomes an extreme habit, then perhaps a cane? doesn’t mean mind is gone. for anybody! ps. i still hate trump.
What goes around, comes around. When someone falls to the ground and others laugh about, pray that it will never happen to you. I didn’t vote for Trump, and still don’t like him, but I don’t want to see him get hurt while he’s in office.
