Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation into the fiery explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, treating the incident as a potential act of terrorism.

A dramatic video recorded by a hotel guest captured the harrowing moment the electric vehicle erupted into flames near the hotel entrance, sending thick clouds of smoke billowing across the iconic Las Vegas Strip. The blast was so intense that witnesses reported hearing loud booms and high-pitched whistles.

“I thought it was a bomb,” said Daniel Rodriguez, a hotel guest who witnessed the explosion firsthand. “The noise, the smoke—it was like something out of a movie.”

Seven bystanders were injured in the chaos, and the driver, who had reportedly parked the vehicle at the hotel’s valet area moments before the explosion, was killed. Authorities have not confirmed the driver’s identity, but local sources indicate they may have been a hotel guest.

“This is a tragic event, and we are treating it with the utmost seriousness,” said Lt. Sarah Dodd of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. “While the cause of the explosion is still under investigation, we cannot rule out the possibility of terrorism at this stage.”

The blast, which occurred on Wednesday afternoon, quickly drew emergency responders to the scene. Firefighters and police officers were seen securing the area with yellow tape as the investigation unfolded. Several nearby streets were closed, and authorities warned the public to avoid the area while the probe continued.

Eyewitnesses reported a chaotic scene with people rushing to evacuate the hotel. “I heard the explosion, and we were told to leave immediately,” said Emily Johnson, another guest at the Trump Hotel. “It was terrifying.”

At the time of the explosion, the hotel was busy with tourists and business professionals, raising concerns about the potential for a larger threat. Investigators are now working to determine whether the explosion was an intentional act of violence or a tragic accident.

“We are examining every angle, including potential connections to extremist groups or other motives,” said FBI spokesperson Angela Reese. “We’re committed to finding answers and ensuring that the public’s safety is not at risk.”

While the investigation is ongoing, local officials are urging residents and tourists to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Authorities are also coordinating with federal agencies to provide further support.

As Las Vegas authorities continue to probe the cause of the blast, the community remains on edge, uncertain about the true motive behind this devastating incident.

For now, all eyes remain on the investigation as investigators work tirelessly to uncover the truth behind the explosion that shocked the Strip and left a city reeling from its aftermath.
