A terrifying near-miss between two planes at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) was captured live and quickly shared online, sparking widespread concern.
The incident unfolded around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Air traffic control audio revealed a tense moment when a Key Lime Air flight was ordered to stop just before crossing a runway where a Delta plane was taking off.
Fortunately, the FAA confirmed that the Key Lime Air flight did not cross the runway edge line, avoiding a potential disaster.
