Melania Trump is facing criticism and derision from detractors online, after promoting chains featuring patriotically-themed pendants.

On Thursday, the former first lady’s Instagram account was updated with a repost of USA Memorabilia’s Fortitude Collection, which features a pair of necklaces. Trump, who last year sold Christmas ornaments through the website, also reposted an advertisement for the chains on X, formerly Twitter.

According to the website, the Bravery version comes in stainless steel or gold plating and features the engraved image of a soldier and the U.S. flag. The steel version retails for $125 apiece while the gold-plated design is available for $175.

The Liberty design features an eagle in flight before the U.S. flag, with the word “liberty” etched out across the bottom. Also available in stainless steel or gold plating, the Liberty design carries the same price point as the Bravery chains.

“The Fortitude Collection celebrates our service members, our Nation, and our freedom,” reads a blurb on USA Memorabilia’s website, where it’s stated that each of the designs “can be engraved with names, initials, significant dates, and symbols to create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.”

“Those who purchase a design can also receive a limited-edition digital collectible,” USA Memorabilia states on its website.

Trump, who is married to former President Donald Trump, was met with a wave of derision after the promotion was shared on her social media accounts.

Attorney Ron Filipkowski, editor-in-chief of the liberal media site Meidas Touch and a frequent critic of Donald Trump, shared a screen recording of Melania Trump’s Instagram post on X.

“New Melania product. Gold plated. $175,” Filipkowski captioned the image.

“Trying to get that female vote with tacky jewelry,” one X user responded.

“Very cheap items sold at very high prices to people who need to choose between food, medicine or baubles sold by a billionaire who will never look at them under any other circumstances!” commented another.

“The late night MAGA-mercial continues,” read another post on the matter.

“I expect to see a few of those on my next trip to the grocery store,” said one detractor, while another chimed in: “The grift that keeps on grifting.”

While Melania Trump faced her fair share of detractors, she also received a number of positive comments from supporters on X.

Some supporters called the designs “beautiful,” while one stated: “How wonderful to raise money for the armed services!!”

Last month, the former model announced the unveiling of her Mother’s Day necklaces, selling for $245 apiece. On her website, the jewelry item was described as a “customizable necklace designed by Melania Trump to honor all mothers.”

Melania Trump’s “signature was included on each necklace,” the site informed visitors. “The flower pendant measures 1 inch, includes a 16-18 inch adjustable chain, and is made in gold vermeil.”

Like his wife, Donald Trump has been met with strong reactions to the various products he has sold in recent months. In March, the former president urged his supporters to buy the God Bless the USA Bible; the title of which is inspired by country singer Lee Greenwood’s patriotic ballad of the same name.

The book, priced at $59.99, includes the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, the Pledge of Allegiance and the handwritten chorus to God Bless the USA.

At the time, Donald Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told Newsweek that those outraged by the Bible venture were “Never Trump idiots suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

In February, the onetime real estate mogul promoted limited edition gold Trump-branded sneakers for $399. He has also sold digital trading cards that portrayed him in cartoon-like images as several characters, including a superhero, astronaut, and NASCAR driver.

Donald Trump’s latest business ventures have come amid mounting costs from his various legal cases, including his high-profile hush money trial. Following an investigation by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg‘s office, Trump was indicted in March 2023 for 34 counts of falsifying business records relating to hush money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels by Trump’s then-lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen during his 2016 presidential campaign.

The money was listed in Trump’s company records as “legal fees,” which prosecutors suggest was part of an unlawful attempt to influence the outcome of the 2016 race. Trump admitted to reimbursing the $130,000 to Cohen, but has denied all accusations of wrongdoing, saying that the trial is part of a political witch hunt aimed at derailing his bid for another term in the White House.

  1. Anything American to libs is tacky, even their thinking. God is tacky, soldiers dying for your freedom is tacky, the American flag is tacky. Who cares what they think, go to hell and leave the normal people alone.

    1. Peddling “patriotism” when they care about nothing BUT themselves is tacky…… but you go right ahead and buy the pendants and the overprice bible and the NFTs …..”the fools and their money should soon depart from each others”

Gee, I wonder if Hitler and Mussolini had to peddle overpriced junk to pay for their legal costs or golden luxuries or this is just a strictly American clownish scam behaviour from the Orange Senile Clown
