Donald Trump’s windswept trip to China turned into an internet frenzy after new photos appeared to show the president looking nearly bald while battling gusty conditions on the White House lawn.

The 79-year-old commander-in-chief was heading to Air Force One on Tuesday when strong winds blew back his famously styled hair, exposing far more of his scalp than Americans are used to seeing. Within minutes, the photos exploded online, with critics mocking Trump’s appearance and supporters rushing to defend him.

But the viral hair moment was only the beginning of the chaos.

Before boarding the presidential jet, Trump got into a heated exchange with reporters while defending his controversial White House ballroom renovation project — and he did not hold back.

Trump insisted the ballroom expansion was “under budget” and “ahead of schedule,” while boasting he had doubled its size because the White House “obviously” needed it. But when one reporter questioned the massive project, the president snapped instantly.

“I doubled the size of it, you dumb person,” Trump fired back. “You are not a smart person.”

The ballroom has already become a lightning rod for criticism after its estimated price reportedly ballooned from $200 million to nearly $400 million. Trump previously claimed wealthy donors would help fund the lavish renovation, though critics continue questioning the timing and cost as many Americans struggle financially.

The tense confrontation added even more fuel to an already dramatic morning for the president, who later stirred outrage again when asked whether rising costs and Americans’ financial hardships were motivating his push for a deal with Iran.

“Not even a little bit,” Trump replied bluntly.

“The only thing that matters when I’m talking about Iran — they can’t have a nuclear weapon,” he continued. “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation. I don’t think about anybody.”

The comment immediately triggered backlash online, with critics accusing Trump of openly admitting he is disconnected from everyday Americans facing inflation, high grocery bills and economic uncertainty.

Still, Trump doubled down, insisting Americans would eventually benefit once tensions overseas calm down.

“When this war is over, oil is going to drop, the stock market is going to go through the roof,” Trump declared. “We’re in the golden age right now.”

Social media users wasted no time piling on after the remarks and the now-viral bald photos spread across X.

“One gust of wind exposed everything,” one user joked.

Another critic blasted the president, writing: “He finally said out loud what people have believed for years.”

Despite the backlash, Trump appeared unfazed as he boarded Air Force One and departed for China — with the internet still buzzing over both his comments and his dramatically windswept look.
