President Donald Trump is raging over a federal judge’s shocking courtroom apology to the man accused of plotting to assassinate him — calling the whole thing “not even believable.”

The firestorm erupted after Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui reportedly apologized to alleged would-be assassin Cole Tomas Allen over the conditions inside his jail cell following his arrest tied to an alleged attack plot at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

During an interview on Full Measure with host Sharyl Attkisson, Trump said he was stunned after hearing about the judge’s comments.

“Well, I heard that and then after that they went back a couple of years and he was very apologetic to another suspect,” Trump said. “Not even believable, actually.”

The president, who appeared calm while discussing the alleged assassination scare, praised the Secret Service for stepping in quickly during the incident.

“It was an interesting evening, but I felt very secure and I think Secret Service did a very good job,” Trump said.

Allen, 31, was arrested after prosecutors claimed he carried out a violent plot connected to the April 25 White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C. According to court filings, the suspect has now been slapped with a sweeping four-count federal indictment that includes attempted assassination of the president, assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon, transporting firearms across state lines to commit a felony, and discharging a firearm during a violent crime.

Federal prosecutors alleged Allen “did knowingly attempt to kill the President of the United States,” turning the case into one of the most explosive criminal prosecutions in the country.

But the controversy exploded after Allen’s defense team complained about the conditions inside the jail where he was being held.

Attorneys claimed Allen was originally placed on suicide watch before being moved into what they described as a padded isolation cell with constant lighting and 24-hour lockdown conditions. Judge Faruqui appeared disturbed by the allegations during a hearing.

“I’m sorry,” the judge reportedly told Allen in court. “It sounds like things have not been the way they’re supposed to.”

That apology immediately triggered outrage from Trump supporters online, with many accusing the judge of showing sympathy toward a man charged with plotting violence against the sitting president.

Trump also pointed to another controversial case involving Faruqui from 2023. The president appeared to reference January 6 defendant Taylor Taranto, whom the judge previously addressed in emotional terms during a separate hearing.

At the time, Faruqui reportedly told Taranto, “We as a country have failed you,” while discussing the defendant’s military background and reported PTSD struggles.

Now, critics are once again questioning whether the judge is too sympathetic toward politically charged defendants.

The latest clash comes as Trump continues to campaign aggressively while facing repeated security threats and ongoing political battles heading into another heated election season.

  1. There were so many armed potential assassins on camera running into that party that the judge has to assume they may have grabbed the wrong one… plus, innocent until proven guilty…
