Kate Middleton reportedly saw the writing on the wall years before Prince Andrew’s royal downfall became official — and quietly cut him off long before the rest of the monarchy followed suit.
According to royal author Christopher Andersen, the Princess of Wales froze Andrew out behind palace doors as concern over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continued to grow. While the royal family publicly tried to avoid more scandal, Kate allegedly made it clear she wanted nothing to do with the disgraced duke.
The claims, first reported by Page Six, paint a picture of a future queen determined to protect the monarchy’s image at all costs.
“She is the first royal to cut him off, to turn her back on him,” Andersen claimed in a recent interview.
The royal biographer alleged Kate refused to engage with Andrew during family functions, holidays, and major royal gatherings long before King Charles officially stripped him of his royal titles and duties in 2025.
One of the most shocking claims involves Kate’s annual Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey — a high-profile event watched around the world.
According to Andersen, Andrew allegedly tried to quietly attend the event through a side entrance to avoid cameras and public backlash. But the request reportedly went nowhere.
“He asked, through intermediaries, if he could slip in a side door,” Andersen claimed. “Nope, we don’t want your face on camera.”
The alleged snub reportedly sent a strong message inside palace circles as Kate and Prince William prepared for their future roles leading the monarchy.
As the mother of Prince George — who is second in line to the throne — Kate has reportedly become increasingly focused on protecting the royal family’s long-term reputation from scandal and controversy.
Andrew’s ties to Epstein have haunted the monarchy for years. Although he has repeatedly denied wrongdoing, the controversy exploded after his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview in 2019 and only intensified after Virginia Giuffre accused him of sexual abuse. Andrew denied the allegations and later settled the civil lawsuit without admitting liability.
By October 2025, King Charles officially removed Andrew’s remaining royal titles and duties in what many viewed as the final blow to his standing within the family.
At the time, Buckingham Palace released a statement emphasizing support for abuse victims and survivors while distancing the monarchy from the ongoing controversy.
Behind the scenes, insiders claimed both William and Kate supported the decision as the royal family tried to move forward without Andrew hanging over the institution.
Now, new drama surrounding Andrew has reportedly left the disgraced royal “quaking with fear” after a terrifying incident near the Sandringham estate earlier this week.
According to reports, Andrew was walking his dogs near Wolferton, Norfolk, on May 6 when a masked man allegedly rushed toward him while shouting aggressively.
Sources claimed the balaclava-wearing suspect emerged from a nearby vehicle and charged toward Andrew’s car before police stepped in.
One insider claimed the prince was left “extremely disturbed” and feared for his safety after losing taxpayer-funded security protection in 2022.
“He is genuinely quaking with fear; he may be a sitting duck for assassination,” the source alleged.
Norfolk Police later confirmed a suspect was arrested on suspicion of a public order offense and possession of an offensive weapon. Authorities said the incident is not currently being treated as terrorism-related.
