Singer Bonnie Tyler is reportedly fighting through a terrifying health crisis after suffering a cardiac arrest during an emergency medical battle in Portugal, according to overseas reports.

The 74-year-old music legend — best known for her massive hits “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Holding Out for a Hero” — was allegedly rushed to Faro Hospital in the Algarve after suffering severe abdominal pain while staying at her second home in Portugal.

Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha claimed the Welsh superstar had to be resuscitated after going into cardiac arrest and was later placed into an induced coma while doctors treated a serious infection following emergency surgery.

The shocking ordeal reportedly began after Tyler started feeling ill while she was still in the U.K. Doctors there reportedly failed to find anything wrong, and she later traveled to Portugal — where her condition allegedly took a frightening turn.

After spending two days bedridden and in pain, her husband, Robert Sullivan, reportedly rushed her to a private hospital. From there, she was transferred to Faro Hospital, where doctors discovered she needed emergency treatment for a burst appendix.

Fans were first alerted to the health scare Wednesday when a statement appeared on Tyler’s official Facebook page.

“We are very sorry to announce that Bonnie was admitted to a hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she owns a home, for emergency intestinal surgery,” the statement read. “The surgery went well, and she is already recovering.”

But just two days later, another update stunned fans even more, confirming the singer had “been put into an induced coma by her doctors to aid her recovery.”

So far, Tyler’s representatives have not publicly commented beyond the statements posted online, and The Daily Beast reported it had reached out for additional clarification.

The frightening news sent waves of concern across social media, where longtime fans flooded comment sections with prayers and well wishes for the raspy-voiced rock icon.

Tyler became one of the biggest music stars of the 1980s with her dramatic powerhouse vocals and chart-topping anthems. “Total Eclipse of the Heart” remains one of the most recognizable songs of its era and continues to attract millions of listeners decades later.

Now, fans around the world are anxiously waiting for updates on the beloved singer’s condition as she continues her recovery in Portugal.
