Andrew Windsor is back in the hot seat — and this time the scandal comes with an oily twist. Newly uncovered Epstein Files show that the ex-royal was quietly plotting big-money overseas deals with his disgraced friend Jeffrey Epstein, even while serving as Britain’s official trade envoy.

According to emails buried inside the Department of Justice’s massive three-million-page archive, the pair spent years bouncing around investment ideas, skirting royal financial rules, and trying to cash in through Russian billionaires, Nigerian oil, and back-channel deals in China. One insider even described the whole thing as “fishy.”

The documents reveal that Andrew, 65, and his debt-plagued ex-wife Sarah Ferguson weren’t just talking — they were mapping out potential multimillion-dollar payouts. In one exchange, Andrew floated a plan to sell Nigerian oil to China, a move that could have reportedly earned Ferguson around $6 million. Another note referenced a mysterious “Russian billionaire” — later identified as Vladimir Zemtsov — who would supposedly “finance everything.”

Even stranger: Andrew was emailing Epstein in 2010, while the convicted predator was literally under house arrest, asking for advice on how to dodge restrictions that banned him from making personal investments as a royal. “As long as I delegate any responsibility to invest,” Andrew wrote, “there would be no problems,” seemingly trying to find loopholes.

The revelations land at a terrible moment for Andrew. Scotland Yard has just launched a sweeping criminal probe into Epstein’s alleged access to leaked British government intelligence — and sources say the inquiry could expand to include Andrew’s own conduct and contacts.

But Andrew isn’t the only one feeling the heat. The Metropolitan Police confirmed they’re also investigating Lord Peter Mandelson after documents suggest he may have leaked sensitive government information to Epstein. The scandal blew up so quickly that Mandelson resigned from the House of Lords rather than wait for Prime Minister Keir Starmer to push him out.

Behind the scenes, British officials are scrambling. The Cabinet Office has handed over its first assessment of the Epstein Files to investigators, and Parliament is preparing a vote to force the release of vetting records tied to Mandelson’s appointment as ambassador.

Sources close to the investigation say detectives expect to interview multiple senior political figures as they assess whether Epstein’s reach inside the U.K. political system created national security risks. And for Andrew Windsor, experts warn this could be the beginning of a very unpleasant chapter.

“He can’t just be written off as a background figure anymore,” one source familiar with the inquiry said. “If this keeps widening, the odds of him being formally questioned become harder and harder to ignore.”
