Kentucky Man Tased During Wild Elementary School Basketball Brawl (Video)

What was supposed to be a kids’ basketball championship in rural Kentucky spiraled into pure chaos when a fight between young players turned into a full-blown adult brawl — ending with one man being tased by police on the court.

The shocking incident happened Thursday night. It occurred during an elementary school basketball game between Carr Creek Elementary and Emmalena Elementary. The game was held at Knott County Central High School. Both schools serve students through eighth grade, despite early social media claims incorrectly calling it a middle school game.

Carr Creek, located in Littcarr, Kentucky, enrolls roughly 350 students, while Emmalena Elementary, based in nearby Hindman, has around 205 students. The two schools sit about 16 miles apart in eastern Kentucky’s mountain region.

The game itself quickly got out of hand on the scoreboard, with Carr Creek holding an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter. But things took a much darker turn when a fight broke out between players on the court. Coaches and officials rushed in and managed to separate the kids, though not before blood was reportedly spilled.

That should have been the end of it. It wasn’t.

As tensions boiled over in the gym, adults became involved — and the situation escalated fast. Multiple parents and grown men began fighting near the court as emotions ran completely out of control.

One man, identified only as Ryan, suddenly stormed out of the stands and charged toward another adult who was already down on the floor. Despite repeated attempts to restrain him, Ryan kept breaking free and rushing the man again and again.

That’s when police intervened.

Ryan was tased in front of the crowd, collapsing onto the court as stunned spectators looked on. Adding to the surreal moment, the game’s announcer reacted calmly — almost as if incidents like this weren’t entirely unheard of.

The championship game was immediately called off and never resumed.

As of now, authorities have not released additional details explaining what sparked the adult altercation or why Ryan targeted the other man. What began as a youth basketball game ended with police action, a canceled championship, and a reminder of how quickly emotions can spiral out of control — even at an elementary school event.
