A shocking Justice Department document dump has detonated fresh controversy around President Donald Trump—revealing that the FBI once received a rape allegation linking him directly to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The explosive claim, buried in a newly released 30,000-file DOJ trove, was uncovered in a classified FBI report dated October 27, 2020—just days before the last presidential election. The report describes a disturbing account from a limousine driver who said Trump talked on the phone about “abusing some girl” while repeatedly mentioning “Jeffrey.”

Moments later in the same file, a woman allegedly claimed that she was taken by “a girl with a funny name” to a “fancy hotel or building,” where, she said, “Donald J. Trump had raped her along with Jeffrey Epstein.”

The alleged victim reportedly refused to go to police, saying: “I can’t. They’ll kill me.”

The Justice Department, now under Trump’s own leadership, hastily released the document this week—but only after adding a disclaimer labeling it “unfounded and false.” Yet the inclusion of such an explosive accusation in an official FBI record has ignited outrage across Washington, fueling calls for a congressional investigation into what critics call a presidential cover-up in plain sight.

Speaking from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Trump appeared rattled but defiant.

“I think it’s terrible,” the president said when asked about the allegations. “Everybody knew Epstein. He was all over Palm Beach, Harvard, everywhere. Clinton knew him. Larry Summers knew him. I didn’t know anything bad about him. Nobody did.”

It’s the latest in a string of moments where Trump’s tone has blurred the line between denial and defense. Just weeks ago, he ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, and Reid Hoffman over their ties to Epstein—a move Democrats blasted as “a smokescreen for something darker.”

The revelations reopen one of the ugliest chapters of Trump’s public life. He has faced dozens of sexual-misconduct allegations over four decades, including the civil case filed by writer E. Jean Carroll, who in 2023 won a verdict finding Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation.

Now, with the Epstein papers surfacing under his own administration, Democrats say the timing is no coincidence.

“Trump’s DOJ released a file accusing Trump of rape—and then rushed to call it fake,” said Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), who sits on the House Oversight Committee. “That’s not transparency. That’s panic.”

The document release comes after the administration missed the legal deadline set by the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Trump reluctantly signed after intense public pressure.
