Martha Stewart’s latest confession proves that sitting courtside isn’t always glamorous — sometimes, it’s downright painful.
The 84-year-old lifestyle queen revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she suffered a “Brunson fracture” — yes, named after Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson — after he accidentally stepped on her foot during Game 1 of the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals at Madison Square Garden.
“Never ever wear open-toe shoes to a game like that,” Stewart warned with a laugh. “He broke my toe!”
Apparently, the accident happened in the final minutes of the game against the Indiana Pacers. Stewart said she felt the pain instantly but didn’t want to leave before the buzzer — because, of course, she’s a true fan.
And in the most Martha Stewart move imaginable, she later told Brunson’s parents — including his dad, Eric Brunson, who just happens to be an assistant coach for the Knicks. “They thought it was so funny,” she said, adding that she even scored a signed basketball for her grandchild out of the ordeal.
Fans on social media couldn’t get enough of her storytelling. “Good adulting by getting a grown man in trouble for breaking your toe,” one commenter joked. Another added, “Honestly, it’s an honor to break Martha Stewart’s foot.”
This wasn’t Stewart’s first time repping the Knicks, either — she’s been a familiar courtside face, even rocking a bright orange sweater at a 2024 game with her grandson.
Apparently, nothing — not even a broken toe — can stop Martha from cheering on her team in style.
