Turns out President Donald Trump’s fast-food obsession might go deeper than anyone realized — straight to the bedroom, literally.
Author Michael Wolff, who’s chronicled Trump’s life inside the White House, dropped a jaw-dropping detail on the Inside Trump’s Head podcast this week: Trump didn’t like eating in the White House dining room — because he preferred to chow down in bed.
“He liked to eat in his bedroom,” Wolff said, adding, “When he first got there, it really sounded like he was, you know, like the feral child.”
And what was on the menu? “It was always a burger,” Wolff revealed. Trump would reportedly “send out for it” — typically from his beloved McDonald’s.
According to Wolff, Trump has long trusted the fast-food chain because “nobody’s hands touch the food. Therefore, it’s much safer.”
Trump’s McDonald’s devotion isn’t new — last year he even worked at one for five minutes during a campaign stunt that became one of 2024’s most viral moments. And earlier this month, during a rambling McDonald’s “economic summit,” he called himself “one of your all-time most loyal customers.”
The White House later joined in on the chaos, posting an AI-generated photo of McDonald’s golden arches sitting on top of the White House — instantly sparking online mockery.
Wolff also confirmed that Trump’s diet is about as predictable as it gets. “It’s incredibly limited,” he said. “It’s basically limited to… beef.”
When asked what Trump might be having for Thanksgiving, Wolff didn’t hesitate: “I think he’s having a hamburger.”
As for the setting? Wolff predicts the president will enjoy the meal at Mar-a-Lago, where he “loves a buffet” — complete with “ham, pork, beef, and lobster stations.”
“It’s like an old-fashioned buffet from the ’60s and ’70s,” Wolff said. “They speak of it as an achievement — the buffet at the golf club.”
The White House hasn’t commented, but one thing’s clear: when it comes to Trump’s meals, McDonald’s reigns supreme — even in bed.
