Donald Trump, 79, has come up with a new twist on his favorite topic: himself. The president floated a bizarre idea on Truth Social Wednesday — rebranding the Republican Party with his own name.
“There is a new word for a TRUMP REPUBLICAN,” Trump wrote in all caps, asking his followers to help him decide between options like “TEPUBLICAN” or “TPUBLICAN.”
Yes, you read that right.
Even Don Jr. apparently thought “Trumpublican” was too obvious, so his dad decided to get creative — or confusing, depending on how you look at it. Linguists were quick to point out that pronouncing “TPUBLICAN” would involve a rare sound combination known as a voiceless labial-alveolar plosive — something most people can’t say unless they’re from remote regions of the Caucasus or Papua New Guinea.
Trump’s branding brainstorm comes as his approval ratings hover around 38%, and his grip on the Republican Party faces growing cracks amid scandals, investigations, and behind-the-scenes rebellion.
Critics are also questioning the president’s mental sharpness after recent rambling speeches and bursts of confusion onstage. But if there’s one thing Trump still has, it’s his trademark flair for turning politics into reality TV.
So buckle up — because the 2025 campaign trail might just feature a brand-new slogan: Make America Tpublican Again.
