President Donald Trump has ignited a storm of outrage — and renewed fears for his personal safety — after hosting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House this week, dismissing U.S. intelligence over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and celebrating what he called a “historic partnership.”

The meeting, complete with military flyovers and red-carpet pageantry, marked Trump’s boldest show of affection yet for a foreign autocrat long accused of orchestrating one of the most gruesome political killings in modern memory.

Trump, 79, stood beside the 40-year-old Saudi leader — dubbed “Mr. Bone Saw” after the 2018 killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi — as he praised the prince for his “strong leadership” and announced more than $1 trillion in economic and defense deals.

When asked by a reporter how the United States could partner with a man accused of ordering a journalist’s dismemberment, Trump waved off the question.

“Things happen,” the president said. “He knew nothing about it. You don’t have to embarrass our guest like that.”

His comments were met with immediate backlash from both sides of the aisle — and alarm among intelligence veterans who say the president’s reckless words “handed moral cover” to a brutal regime.

Former CIA analyst Nina Brooks told The Atlantic Wire, “American intelligence concluded years ago that Khashoggi’s killing was authorized at the highest levels. For the president to shrug that off is a betrayal of our values — and it makes America look complicit.”

According to senior security sources, Trump’s embrace of bin Salman has “massively amplified” the danger to his own life.

“There are extremists who see this as unforgivable,” one former Secret Service official told NewsCore. “He’s portraying himself as the defender of a murderer. It could embolden domestic radicals who believe he’s sold out the country.”

Another Washington adviser was blunter: “He’s playing with fire. There are people out there who think he’s betrayed democracy itself.”

Behind closed doors, aides are said to be “deeply uneasy” about the optics of the visit, especially as anti-Trump protests erupted outside the White House gates, with demonstrators chanting “Blood money!” and “Khashoggi deserves justice!”

Khashoggi’s widow, Hanan Elatr, appeared on MSNBC moments before the leaders’ joint press event.

“It’s very painful,” she said through tears. “He knows what happened. We all do. My husband’s body is still missing — and now they celebrate the man responsible for his death in the White House?”

Her remarks reverberated across social media, drawing millions of views within hours and reigniting calls for congressional Democrats to reopen investigations into the Trump family’s financial ties to Saudi investors.

The controversy has also revived scrutiny of Trump’s inner circle — especially his son-in-law Jared Kushner, whose private equity firm has received billions from Saudi and Gulf state investors since Trump’s return to office.

Trump brushed off those concerns, insisting: “I have nothing to do with the family business. Jared’s doing great. He’s bringing money into the U.S., and that’s a good thing.”

But ethics experts disagree. “It’s a revolving door of influence,” said ethics lawyer Maria Varela. “The Saudis aren’t buying real estate — they’re buying access. And Trump’s willing to sell it.”

Democratic strategist Marcus Reynolds warned that Trump’s behavior isn’t just reckless — it’s dangerous.

“He’s normalizing murder because it’s profitable,” Reynolds said. “He thinks he’s untouchable. But he’s underestimating how disgusted Americans are. Even his supporters are whispering that this went too far.”

For now, the president appears unmoved by the outrage, touting his new alliance as a “win for America.”

But to his critics, the sight of “Mr. Bone Saw” smiling on the White House lawn felt less like diplomacy — and more like a moral collapse.

“Trump is not just shaking hands with a killer,” said one political analyst. “He’s telling the world that American values are for sale.”
