Behind the gilded gates of Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump is facing what insiders call “his most personal crisis yet” — a growing struggle with pain, memory lapses, and an unsteady gait that doctors warn could soon lead to double hip replacement surgery.

New footage showing the 79-year-old president dragging his right leg and gripping the edge of his golf cart for balance has reignited questions about Trump’s fitness — both physical and mental — as his second term unfolds.

While Trump continues to project confidence at rallies and photo ops, multiple people close to him describe a man increasingly at odds with his own body.

“He’s in pain — much more than he’ll ever admit,” said one longtime aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “He steadies himself now, he moves slower, and he gets frustrated when people notice.”

According to sources familiar with his private medical discussions, White House physicians have quietly raised concerns about his worsening arthritis and limited mobility. “There’s been talk of hip surgery for months,” said another insider. “Some think both hips will have to be replaced if he wants to stay active.”

Several rehabilitation specialists who reviewed recent footage of Trump tell us his posture and gait suggest “bilateral knee valgus” — a knock-kneed alignment that places strain on the hips and back, often leading to chronic pain and reduced stability in older adults.

“At his age, these symptoms can become debilitating quickly,” said Dr. Lena Morales, a Florida-based orthopedic specialist not involved in the president’s care. “He appears to have muscle weakness from inactivity, which could explain the side-to-side shuffle people are noticing.”

Experts also noted that Trump’s preference for golf carts and long hours of sitting likely exacerbate the condition. “It’s a vicious cycle,” Morales said. “The less he moves, the weaker his support muscles become — and the harder it is to move at all.”

But sources close to Trump say whispers of “something deeper” have unsettled even his inner circle.

“There have been moments when he blanks out — forgets names, dates, or repeats himself,” said a former campaign adviser. “It’s subtle, but people who’ve worked with him for years can tell something’s changing.”

Several doctors consulted by this outlet cautioned that Trump’s hesitant movements could be consistent with neurological decline. “You can’t rule out early-stage Parkinson’s or dementia-related motor issues,” said Dr. Raj Patel, a neurologist in Washington. “Dragging a foot or appearing disoriented can sometimes point to conditions affecting the brain rather than the joints.”

The White House and campaign staff have fiercely denied the reports. Spokesman Steven Cheung called the health rumors “vile liberal fabrications,” accusing the media of “trying to create panic because they can’t beat Trump at the ballot box.”

Cheung added: “The only people suffering from a degenerative condition are the ones infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Still, privately, aides acknowledge that the president’s health has become a daily consideration. “He’s proud, and he’ll never admit weakness,” said one senior official. “But everyone around him sees the toll it’s taking.”

Democrats have already begun to question whether the president’s physical struggles could affect his decision-making. Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) recently told reporters, “When you see a commander-in-chief struggling to stand or recall basic information, that’s not just about health — it’s about national security.”

For now, Trump continues to defy the speculation, appearing onstage and at his Florida resort with trademark bravado. But the image of him gripping the edge of his golf cart — legs stiff, jaw tight — has become a haunting metaphor for a presidency increasingly defined by its fragility.

“People underestimate how much he’s hurting,” said one longtime friend. “But he’s determined to go down swinging. The question is — how long can he keep it up?”

  1. Well, let’s get it FIXED!!!
What’s the big deal??? I’ll bet YOU can’t keep up with him even tho he’s hurting!!!
    Sent from my iPhone

  2. you people & trump are trash. 8647 this moron actually wears diapers, people say he constantly smells. seen world leaders move away, scrunching up their noses, he smells so bad, mel won’t ride in a limo with him.

  3. Juju
More rumors! Notice in this article.. not one named source related to all the claims Trump can’t walk, or has to steady himself etc. One of two named sources is the democrat Raskin (no surprise here) but he’s not with Trump so it’s just speculation and of course Raskin never noticed ANY issues with Biden!

    What clap trap!

Juju have you ever met Trump? Any of your close friends ever met Trump? Well my business partner has met with him several times over the last few months. And guess what? Trump doesn’t smell and he walks fine and he’s sharp and on point! I’ll trust his judgement over yours every single day as it’s first hand not rumors on top of rumors to make democrats feel good!

  4. Why do you people think it is impossible for him to have issues? Did you not notice his swagger when he met Putin last month?
All the money in the world cannot bring true happiness and fight the devil when it comes to health issues.
Yes, he has a lot of issues but I still wish him painless health.

  5. Maybe this is karma for all the crap he would say about Biden and his health (and continues to say, even now Biden is living his own life away from the daily microscopic analysis that came with the Presidency)? Can he take it as good as he gave it? Doubtful. He’s too busy tearing up the country and destroying everyone and everything in it to put any kind of real thought into his own health issues.

That being said, it kind of sounds like he’s had a stroke (of what level/severity, I wouldn’t know). You would think someone would step up and do something about it however he’s too busy with other things.

    1. And I’d like to know, all your Trump supporters who don’t want to SEE what we’re all seeing …

why are you finding it so hard to believe that someone who is 79 years old can have health issues, even mild to moderate ones, that can have an effect/affect on their lives and livelihood? If this was just a general person – a neighbor, family member, friend – with the same “symptoms” would you still be so emphatic that they couldn’t possibly have some sort of illness or other health issue???

  6. And a question to the Trump supporters out there:

Why are you finding it so difficult to SEE what others are seeing … that a 79 year old male is having health issues that may interfere or hinder their ability to continue with their lives and/or livelihood? Several things in regards to his declining health have been documented, time and time again. Why are you so blind to see the obvious and claim its fake – however you’re so willing to believe the **actual** fake stuff as real?? What is it with this blind adoration and zealous following of his that makes you blind to everything else?

If this was someone else, another person at the same age – family, friend, co-worker, neighbor, whatever – exhibiting the same signs/symptoms that he’s been showing, would you STILL be so dismissive about potential health issues? Is it JUST because of who it is that makes you refuse to see? Or is it something else?

And don’t go falling to a(n) “it’s the Democrats” excuse because you know what, the Republicans are **just** as much to blame. No one has clean hands here, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the US government, and even more so this current administration.

  8. This man works and is awake almost 24 hrs. a day. If he takes a break and gets some sleep , I think everyone panics. He is on top of all the work and knows everything that is going on with this country and all countries. I doubt anything is wrong with him that a little rest and sleep couldn’t cure. Democrats would love to see him fumble or say something wrong. I say leave him alone and let him get his work done. Plus I would love to see him gets some rest.
