Barron Trump may be just 19, but insiders say he’s already being eyed for a powerful role at one of the most influential apps in America — TikTok.

According to sources close to the president’s digital team, “TikTok Jack” Advent — the mastermind behind Donald Trump’s wildly successful Gen Z social media strategy — has suggested that Barron join the app’s new American-led board.

“Barron has a natural feel for the culture online,” Advent said Wednesday. “He understands how young people use TikTok. If we want this platform to stay American and stay cool, he’s exactly the kind of voice it needs.”

The Family Connection

Barron, now studying at New York University, has kept a low public profile during his father’s second term. But sources say Trump’s youngest son has been increasingly interested in technology and business.

“He’s not just the quiet kid people remember from the White House,” said one Trump family acquaintance. “Barron’s smart, he’s curious, and he’s been sitting in on high-level meetings about tech and AI. This is his world.”

While Barron hasn’t commented publicly, the idea of him joining TikTok’s leadership has electrified both supporters and critics.

Trump’s “Rescue” of TikTok

The proposal comes after President Trump once again declared that he personally “saved TikTok” from a ban.

“To all those young people of TikTok — I saved TikTok, so you owe me big,” Trump said in a video posted Monday from the Oval Office. “And now you’re watching me right here, from the White House. You’re welcome.”

Trump’s 2020 executive order forced the Chinese parent company ByteDance to sell majority control to American investors. The order — revived and enforced under his second administration — requires TikTok to be operated and headquartered in the United States or face a nationwide ban.

Billionaires at the Table

The deal is now in the final stretch, with some of Trump’s longtime allies leading the charge.

Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison — now worth an estimated $350 billion and a personal friend of Trump — is expected to play a key role in the American takeover. Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen and private equity giant Silver Lake are also reportedly part of the negotiations.

“TikTok’s too powerful to leave in foreign hands,” said a senior White House aide. “The president wants it American, secure, and profitable.”

“TikTok Jack” and Trump’s Digital Army

Jack Advent became a cult figure in 2024 as Trump’s “Gen Z whisperer,” responsible for the campaign’s viral videos that racked up over 180 million views.

“That’s TikTok Jack,” Trump once said proudly during a McDonald’s photo op. “He’s a genius — probably the most famous TikTok guy in politics!”

Advent says adding young voices like Barron’s could “future-proof” the platform as it transitions to American ownership.

“People forget — Trump doesn’t just understand politics,” Advent added. “He understands marketing, youth culture, and influence. Barron does too.”

What’s Next

Negotiations for the U.S.-led TikTok board are ongoing, but White House insiders say Trump is personally reviewing potential appointees.

“Everything with this president is about loyalty and legacy,” said a longtime adviser. “Putting Barron on the board would send a message: the Trump brand is here to shape the next generation of media.”

For now, Barron Trump remains focused on his studies — but Washington insiders say he’s already getting a crash course in power.
