Prince Harry is firing back at claims that his recent reunion with King Charles III was cold and distant, calling the reports flat-out untrue.
“Recent reporting of The Duke’s view of the tone of the meeting is categorically false,” a spokesperson for Harry, 41, said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “The quotes attributed to him are pure invention fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son.”
The pushback comes after The Sun reported that Harry’s private tea with his father at Clarence House on September 10 felt more like an “official visit” than a family reunion. According to the outlet, Harry gifted Charles a framed photo of his two children, Archie and Lilibet. Harry’s team confirmed the gesture but clarified the photo didn’t include him or Meghan.
The September meeting, which lasted just under an hour, was the first time Harry and Charles had seen each other in person in over a year. Harry had returned to the U.K. quietly on September 8 for charity events and made a private visit to St. George’s Chapel in Windsor to honor his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, on the third anniversary of her passing.
The reunion carried extra weight given recent reports of strain between father and son. Sources previously told People that Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2024, had stopped responding to Harry’s calls and letters.
The divide between Harry and Prince William also remains stark. Royal watchers say the brothers still aren’t speaking, despite Harry publicly stating back in May that he’s desperate for a path forward. “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” he told the BBC. “I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
Harry and Meghan have remained estranged from the monarchy since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020 and relocating to California, a move that continues to cast a long shadow over his relationship with the rest of the family.

Why give any kind of information to FOX News? They aren’t going to report anything factual to begin with. Yikes. If you want your information reported in a factual, honest way, go with a news reporting agency that is about as neutral as you can. Anything mostly left or mostly right isn’t going to help you to get your word out, either way … they’ll put their own spin on things. You would think people would have figured that out by now. There may not be a lot of “neutral” places out there however they DO exist.
