President Donald Trump stunned the nation once again by stepping into the role of armchair physician, urging women and parents to reject long-standing medical guidance on vaccines and pregnancy care.
At a fiery White House press conference Monday, Trump claimed that Tylenol use during pregnancy could cause autism and that infants should not receive the hepatitis B vaccine until age 12 — a direct contradiction of decades of scientific consensus.
“It’s outrageous and dangerous,” said Dr. Jessica Shepherd, a Chicago-based OB-GYN. “The president is spreading misinformation that puts mothers and babies at risk.”
Trump declared that mothers should “fight like hell” not to take Tylenol during pregnancy, adding that children should delay hepatitis B shots until middle school. He even went further, suggesting the MMR vaccine should be broken into separate injections, justifying it by saying, “That’s what I feel.”
“I just want to say it like it is: don’t take Tylenol. Don’t take it. Fight like hell not to take it,” Trump told reporters, shrugging off questions about scientific evidence.
For many doctors, the press conference triggered painful flashbacks to 2020, when Trump infamously mused about injecting bleach or using UV light to fight COVID-19.
The controversy is compounded by the presence of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime vaccine skeptic and conspiracy promoter. Kennedy has overseen a sweeping shake-up of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), prompting the resignation of several respected scientists.
“What this administration is doing is not scientifically sound,” said Dr. Dan Jernigan, former director of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, who resigned in protest. “It feels like politics has completely overtaken public health.”
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) immediately blasted Trump’s remarks as “irresponsible” and “highly unsettling.” The organization reaffirmed that acetaminophen remains the safest option for pregnant women in pain, stressing that research linking it to autism remains inconclusive.
The CDC has recommended hepatitis B vaccination for all infants since 1991 to prevent chronic infections and liver disease. Trump dismissed that guidance, falsely stating that hepatitis B is “sexually transmitted” and irrelevant to newborns.
“They pump so much stuff into babies, it’s a disgrace,” Trump said, wildly exaggerating that infants are given “as many as 80 vaccines at once.”
For critics, Trump’s latest outburst highlights a troubling pattern: a second term dominated by conspiracy theories elevated to policy. His administration is already facing backlash for instructing the Food and Drug Administration to warn physicians about Tylenol use in pregnancy — a move experts fear could sow panic among expecting mothers.
“This is the worst health press conference I’ve ever seen,” tweeted Dr. Craig Spencer, an emergency physician who rose to prominence during the Ebola and COVID crises. “How are we doing this again in 2025?”
The question now is whether Trump’s words will fuel another wave of vaccine hesitancy and distrust in science — at a moment when America can least afford it.

Most “doctors” are totally indoctrinated by lucifer’s pharma. Their defending our poisoning by them destroys their credibility.
Yes, there are “medical experts” on both sides… and I don’t believe the ones paid by Big Pharma to lie to us… which is what we have had in the past… Bobby Jr. fired the ones at CDC also on Pharma payrolls! The fake news has doctors on that are on the Board of Directors of Pfizer!
Here we go again. Two unknown doctors- Trump and Kennedy. Funny people 😂🤣.
Jokementia Bribery said if you get the Covid jabs you won’t get Covid which we now know is a total lie! Many shotted get Covid and also die from it/the ‘vaccines’…
There is no way in hell, I would trust ANYTHING trump or RFK,Jr says….neither one of them have a medical license or ANY kind
Best you took the jab didn’t you? You know the one Bkden said if you take it you would not die. Yet over 15k did
Why are you condemning this and calling I weakness. There are studies
Correct here’s what I found
Some studies have found an association between prenatal (in-utero) acetaminophen exposure and an increased risk of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, critics argue these studies are not conclusive and other large-scale studies have found no link. The scientific evidence on this topic is still being debated.
This is only because Trump is doing it
I’m sure he just didn’t wake up to say thos. He got this from someone in the nedical field. He did nothing different than what drug companies do when pushing their products telling you about the risks. This is similiar. Of course it’s bad cuz Trump is doing it. Yet Biden saying take the jab and you won’t die was OK even though over 15k died. Even though the studies are still being debated nothing wrong with warning the American public as the studies continue. What’s wrong with that?
