CNN Star Warns WH is ‘Hiding’ Trump’s Failing Health (Video)

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon is sounding the alarm on what he calls a “pattern of deception” from Donald Trump’s White House regarding the president’s health — and he says Americans have every reason to be skeptical.

Speaking on The Daily Beast Podcast this week, Lemon accused the administration of withholding critical information, pointing to Trump’s secretive handling of his COVID hospitalization back in 2020.

“I think he’s sicker than the administration is letting on… and by evidence only: history is the evidence,” Lemon said. “When he walked to Marine One after testing positive for COVID, he looked terrible. He was sicker than we knew, and no one told us about it then. Why should we believe them now?”

In July, the White House revealed that Trump, now 79, had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) — a condition that makes it harder for blood to return to the heart. Since then, images of the president’s swollen ankles and unexplained bruising on his right hand have fueled speculation about his overall health.

This isn’t the first time questions have swirled. Back in 2020, Trump was treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after contracting COVID-19, but his medical team, led by Dr. Sean Conley, initially failed to disclose that the president required supplemental oxygen. At the time, conflicting statements from Conley and then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows deepened public mistrust.

“There’s nothing that leads me to believe they’d be more transparent about it now,” Lemon warned.

Lemon also blasted White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt for avoiding tough questions during briefings.

“I can’t watch live anymore — it’s infuriating,” Lemon said. “Reporters ask about Trump’s health, and she either lies, deflects, or moves on to the next person. There’s no pushback. It’s like they want us in the dark.”

He called on journalists to hold the administration accountable:

“If one reporter gets shut down, the next should follow up. We deserve answers about the president’s health.”

The administration, meanwhile, is aggressively dismissing concerns. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung issued a blistering response to The Daily Beast:

“Joanna Coles and Don Lemon are two dips–t losers who have been fired from every job they’ve held,” Cheung said. “None of those two morons are capable of telling the truth because they suffer from a debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted their pea-sized brains.”

Former White House physician-turned-congressman Ronny Jackson, who still consults with Trump’s medical team, echoed the same line:

“President Trump is the healthiest president this nation has ever seen. He is mentally and physically sharper than ever before.”

The debate over Trump’s health comes at a politically charged moment. With his approval ratings slipping among moderates and independents, critics argue the administration has a vested interest in projecting an image of vitality and strength.

Meanwhile, Democrats are ramping up pressure, demanding full transparency about the president’s medical records. “The American people deserve honesty,” Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said Tuesday. “This is about trust and national security.”

Lemon agrees, warning listeners:

“This administration spends more time attacking Joe Biden’s so-called cognitive issues — and he’s not even in office anymore — than being honest about their own president. That should tell you everything.”

Calls are growing for the White House press corps to directly challenge Leavitt and Trump’s medical team during future briefings. Whether that happens could determine just how much Americans learn about the president’s true condition — and whether history is, once again, repeating itself.
