A quiet Georgia county GOP meeting just exploded into a national scandal.

Representative Mike Collins (R-GA), a staunch MAGA ally, was caught on a hot mic admitting he believes Donald Trump’s name appears in the still-secret Jeffrey Epstein files — a claim that could reignite one of the most politically explosive stories of the decade.

In an audio clip uploaded to YouTube titled “HOT MIC: Republican Caught Saying Trump IS IN THE EPSTEIN FILES!,” Collins can be heard responding to a constituent’s pointed question about the disgraced financier’s documents.

“Yeah, I’m sure he’s in there,” Collins said bluntly, offering no evidence but doubling down moments later. “He’s the one that kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago and then called the FBI. Yeah, yeah, he’s in there.”

The revelation lands at a delicate moment for the Trump White House. In July, The Wall Street Journal reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi quietly told Trump his name appeared in the Epstein-related material during a private briefing — though she stressed it did not imply wrongdoing.

Trump’s team has long dismissed such reports. Back in February, the administration declassified heavily redacted Epstein files, claiming there was “nothing to hide.” Yet Collins’ off-the-cuff remark threatens to undermine those assurances.

The White House responded Tuesday evening, calling the hot mic clip “Democrat-manufactured fake news.”

Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were once friendly, frequently photographed together in Palm Beach’s high society circles in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

In a now-infamous 2002 interview, Trump even described Epstein as a “terrific guy” who “likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them on the younger side.”

However, by 2004, their relationship soured. Trump has repeatedly claimed he banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago after a dispute involving a young female staffer — a claim Collins echoed in his hot mic comments.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Elon Musk has repeatedly stirred speculation online. Earlier this summer, Musk claimed — and then partially walked back — that Trump’s name was on Epstein’s client list, calling it “the real reason the files haven’t been fully released.”

“Mark this post for the future,” Musk wrote on X. “The truth will come out.”

So far, much of what the public has seen remains heavily redacted. The FBI insists its July review “found no incriminating client list,” but both Republicans and Democrats have been pressing for full transparency.

“I have no problem releasing it,” Collins said in the hot mic exchange. “But you’ve got to go through the judicial process. It’s more complicated than just saying, ‘boom, here’s the files.’”

Collins’ accidental admission is already sparking political tremors in Washington. House Democrats are demanding an immediate review of the unredacted Epstein records, arguing that Americans “deserve the truth, no matter how powerful the names inside.”

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump weighed in on MSNBC Wednesday morning:
“Every name in those files matters. Every connection matters. If we’re serious about justice, there can’t be one set of rules for billionaires and another for everyone else.”

For now, the White House remains on defense, the files remain sealed, and the questions keep piling up.

As one senior Democratic aide put it:
“If Trump’s name is really in there, even if he did nothing illegal, voters deserve to know. Full stop.”

  1. You guys are hilarious!! lol someone offered their opinion without a scrap of evidence that he believes Trump is named in the Epstein files and that’s news???

Give it up! If Trump was in the Epstein files that the Biden DOJ had sole possession of for 4 years and after every way they tried to destroy Trump dont you think they would have released that info before the election??? Of course they would have! They didn’t because it’s not there!!

    Use your heads!!

Another story by Trump derangement news, I mean Megan news! Lol

  2. The headline clearly states that a “congressman admits that Trump is named”, but then the article changes that to “congressman believes Trump is named,” but without any evidence backing up his belief. These statements are not the same, and the headline is clearly a lie. Have all the editors died, or did they go on to do better things?
