Donald Trump’s long-buried ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein are resurfacing — and the picture isn’t pretty.

According to resurfaced reporting from journalist Vanessa Grigoriadis, the now 79-year-old president leaned so heavily on Epstein during his financial collapse in the 1990s that he once allegedly “cried under his bed covers” and called the disgraced financier for emotional support.

“Donald was humiliated,” one model from Epstein’s inner circle recalled. “We all knew he was bankrupt and desperate. Jeffrey loved mocking him for it. He used to brag about ‘feeding Donald’ when he was holed up in his bedroom crying.”

Epstein Held the Power

The allegations paint Trump not as a power broker but as a hanger-on in Epstein’s Manhattan social orbit — a glittering world of billionaires, politicians, and supermodels.

Grigoriadis’ 2019 Vanity Fair profile, now recirculating amid renewed scrutiny of Trump’s Epstein ties, revealed that the president frequently begged the financier for introductions to women, including a prominent Sports Illustrated model.

“Trump was relentless,” the model reportedly told Grigoriadis. “Jeffrey wouldn’t give him my number, so Donald tried to get it directly from me. He called Jeffrey afterward, yelling, ‘She gave it to me! You know she gave it to me! You can give it to me now!’ But Jeffrey never caved.”

Epstein’s Shadow Over Trump’s Presidency

While Trump has long insisted he “barely knew” Epstein, photographs, flight logs, and eyewitness accounts tell a different story. The two mingled frequently in the 1990s and early 2000s, attending the same private parties and social events.

In a 2002 interview with New York Magazine, Trump himself admitted that Epstein “likes women on the younger side.” That offhand remark has come under intense renewed scrutiny since Epstein’s 2019 death in a Manhattan jail, officially ruled a suicide.

Now, Trump’s decision earlier this year to block the release of additional government files related to Epstein has reignited criticism from victims’ advocates. “There are questions this White House doesn’t want answered,” said Lisa Bloom, attorney for several Epstein survivors. “We still don’t know who in power benefited from Epstein’s network — and Trump keeps shutting the doors.”

Ghislaine Maxwell, ‘Trash,’ and a Dark Legacy

Epstein’s longtime confidante, Ghislaine Maxwell — now serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking — allegedly helped procure dozens of underage girls. According to court filings, Maxwell once dismissed Epstein’s victims as “trash,” a sentiment echoed by several members of his inner circle.

Grigoriadis’ reporting suggests Trump “needed” Epstein’s access to models and high society far more than Epstein ever needed Trump. One of Epstein’s former girlfriends told her:

“Epstein liked people to feel he owned them. Donald was perfect for that dynamic. Jeffrey had the money, the girls, the connections — and Donald needed all three.”

Why It Still Matters

Despite Trump’s repeated claims of distance, his proximity to Epstein and the powerful social network surrounding him continues to haunt his presidency. Critics argue that his refusal to release investigative documents raises serious concerns about transparency and potential conflicts of interest.

“Trump wants us to believe Epstein was just a guy he knew,” said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in a statement earlier this month. “But every time he blocks records, every time more reporting resurfaces, the story gets murkier — and a lot more troubling.”

With the FBI’s Epstein investigation officially closed and no “client list” released, questions remain unanswered.
