As pressure mounts over his ties to the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, President Donald Trump has launched a full-scale social media meltdown—this time dragging former President Barack Obama back into his ever-expanding web of conspiracies.

In a flurry of unhinged Truth Social posts Friday morning, Trump revived one of his most baseless claims: that Barack Obama orchestrated a “coup” to stop him from taking office after the 2016 election. “THEY MUST PAY!” he raged. “The Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX is now TOTALLY UNDISPUTED!… The perpetrators of this CRIME must pay a big price!”

The posts appear timed to distract from renewed scrutiny over Trump’s connection to Epstein—scrutiny that has exploded following the public release of sealed case files and a new wave of victim testimony implicating powerful men, including those tied to Mar-a-Lago.

Trump’s accusations hinge on a claim that Obama and top intelligence officials “fabricated” evidence of Russian election interference in 2016. But the U.S. intelligence community—under both Republican and Democratic leadership—has consistently found Russia interfered to help Trump win, though no votes were altered.

Yet that hasn’t stopped Trump’s own Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, from feeding the flames.

At a press briefing last week, Gabbard cited newly declassified memos—cherry-picked and lacking full context—to accuse Obama and his team of waging a “treasonous conspiracy” to delegitimize Trump’s presidency.

“President Obama and his advisers launched what was essentially a years-long soft coup against President Trump,” Gabbard claimed, without offering evidence that met even minimal intelligence community standards. She’s now calling for criminal investigations.

Obama’s office responded sharply. “This is a rehash of already-debunked nonsense. Nothing in these documents changes what U.S. intelligence confirmed years ago: Russia interfered to help Donald Trump, and no votes were changed,” an Obama spokesperson said.

Adding to the circus, Trump posted a video from right-wing commentator Victor Davis Hanson claiming the Obama administration sought to “destroy” him. Trump captioned it ominously: “They must pay for the crime of the Century.”

Dan Scavino, now Deputy White House Chief of Staff, echoed the sentiment in a late-night post cheering a memo that claims Hillary Clinton approved a plan to link Trump to Russia—though even conservative outlets have acknowledged that the document may be Russian disinformation.

An annex in Special Counsel John Durham’s 2023 report stated that the memo likely originated with Kremlin operatives attempting to sow chaos within U.S. politics. Nonetheless, the Trump camp has used it as supposed proof of Democratic treachery.

While Trump publicly obsesses over decade-old political grudges, fresh allegations about his Epstein ties continue to surface.

In a stunning new statement aboard Air Force One, Trump attempted to distance himself from the disgraced financier, saying Epstein was “stealing” young staffers from Mar-a-Lago. “I told him, ‘Don’t do it anymore.’ Once he did that, that was the end of him,” Trump claimed.

Among those staffers was Virginia Giuffre, a survivor of Epstein’s trafficking ring who tragically died by suicide earlier this year. Legal experts have called Trump’s comments “incriminating” and “deeply troubling.”

With his approval ratings sliding and Democrats holding a slim House majority, Trump appears to be escalating his strategy of distraction and revenge. But this latest episode—dragging a former president into fringe conspiracy territory while the nation watches his Epstein ties unravel—has left even some moderates uneasy.

“It’s textbook projection,” said Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL). “He’s shouting about fake coups while burying real scandals involving trafficking and abuse. This isn’t leadership—it’s deflection at its most dangerous.”

As November 2026 midterms loom, the stakes have never been higher—and Trump’s outbursts may only be just beginning.

    1. “…most Americans….”; speak for yourself. No one with an I.Q. # above room temperature wants or needs you speaking for them.

    2. Most terminally ignorant people try to hide that condition. Based on your rant, you seem to be an exception.
