Tensions are rising at Buckingham Palace ahead of President Donald Trump’s official state visit to the United Kingdom this September, with sources close to King Charles saying the monarch is “very concerned” Trump may go off-script and launch into another tirade on immigration—this time with the king standing beside him.

The fears were sparked after Trump’s fiery comments during his brief stop in Scotland last Friday, where he warned reporters, “This immigration is killing Europe,” calling it a “horrible invasion” and urging Britain to “get your act together.”

One of the king’s longtime friends told The Royalist that Charles, a lifelong champion of tolerance and diversity, was “appalled” by Trump’s rhetoric. “He will be very concerned about the possibility of a repeat outburst in September,” the source said.

British officials are reportedly scrambling to contain the risk. A civil servant told reporters that while the palace normally advises visiting leaders that the king is constitutionally apolitical, “The trouble with Trump is, he doesn’t feel bound by the rules.”

Trump’s recent comments hit a nerve in the U.K., where immigration has become one of the most explosive political issues of the year. A record number of undocumented migrants arriving by small boats has triggered mass protests, angry rhetoric, and warnings from populist leader Nigel Farage that Britain is “close to civil disobedience on a vast scale.”

Adding to palace fears, Trump has already flouted protocol by flashing a private letter from the king to reporters. The letter, reportedly offering a low-key, informal visit to the king’s Scottish estate, Balmoral, was brushed aside by Trump, who insisted on a full-blown state visit instead.

“It’s embarrassing,” a former courtier admitted. “The palace hoped to soften things with a quiet countryside meeting, but Trump saw that as a brush-off. Now they’re stuck.”

There’s no formal press conference planned between Trump and King Charles, but the real fear is what Trump might say spontaneously to the media. “If Trump starts sounding off about immigration while standing next to Charles, the king would find that deeply upsetting,” said one royal friend.

Making matters worse, King Charles is still undergoing treatment for cancer and reportedly pushing through fatigue to maintain his royal duties. Aides are concerned the high-stress state visit could worsen his health.

“He’s exhausted,” one friend admitted. “He refuses to slow down, but this visit could be a lot to handle—especially if it turns political.”

Meanwhile, palace staff are dealing with other behind-the-scenes drama, including the long-running standoff with Prince Andrew over Royal Lodge. Despite months of pressure from the king to vacate the sprawling estate, Andrew reportedly produced a lease proving he has the right to stay. The king’s plan quietly collapsed, leaving Andrew still living there with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

As for the Prince and Princess of Wales, reports suggest they’ll be upgrading from their modest Adelaide Cottage to the far more regal Fort Belvedere—a historic Windsor estate best known as the site where Edward VIII signed away the throne in 1936.

With domestic drama and a potentially explosive Trump visit looming, the king’s inner circle is bracing for a turbulent few months.

  1. President Trump should put the “insignificant King Charles” on the back burner. The meeting is nothing more than P.R. for England’s dwindling monarchy and since Charles clearly doesn’t approve of, or.even like President Trump, it’s a total wasted of time!

  2. All left wing conjecture! Not one formal source, not one official source, not one named source! Typical garbage news!

Bottom line is the invasion of illegal immigrants (not undocumented migrants – more left wing nonsense) mostly from moslem countries DOES stand to destroy Europe which is a Christian stronghold! A Europe that worked hard for women’s rights is incompatible with Moslem values where females have little value except supporting a man and having babies which threatens to change the demographics of Europe and women’s rights!!!

  3. No one cares about Charles cancer. He’s not the only person to have cancer. We have democrats that wouldn’t stand and support a CHILD cancer survivor. The English are most likely fed up with the Muslims invading their country just as Americans are fed up with all the illegal aliens. At least President Trump is standing behind and supporting his people. Unlike Charles. Can’t compare President Trump with King Charles
    Our president has a backbone
