Prince Andrew is once again in the hot seat—and this time, it’s thanks to his own former crisis manager.
John Bryan, a longtime associate of Andrew and once the man loudly defending the disgraced royal during his Jeffrey Epstein scandal, is now eating his words. Caught on hidden camera by James O’Keefe’s undercover media team, Bryan was recorded saying that Andrew “was f****** underage girls”—a stunning statement from someone who previously claimed the Duke of York was a victim of Epstein’s manipulation.
But now? Bryan’s suddenly changing his tune.
After the footage made headlines, Bryan raced onto Piers Morgan Uncensored to do damage control, claiming he was drunk, infatuated with the undercover journalist, and didn’t mean what he said. “It’s not what I believe,” he insisted, calling Andrew “a wonderful man” and a “great friend.”
His excuse? Alcohol and flattery.
“The woman I met was spectacular… and I had quite a lot to drink,” he told Morgan. “I regret very much what I said… none of it reflects what I actually believe.”
The timing of this so-called retraction couldn’t be more suspect. Bryan’s original statement mirrored what critics have long suspected about Prince Andrew’s ties to Epstein—and what the public continues to question even after a multi-million dollar out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre. Andrew has never admitted wrongdoing, but the stink of scandal has never gone away.
The undercover sting also revealed more eyebrow-raising details. Bryan claimed he “raised” Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, during his romantic affair with Sarah Ferguson while Andrew was away. On Morgan’s show, he backtracked that too, saying he was “wrong” and that Andrew was “an unbelievable role model of a father.”
As for that infamous toe-kissing tabloid moment with Fergie? Bryan denied it ever happened the way it was portrayed. “Let’s be very clear, I was not sucking anybody’s toes,” he said. “We were playing Cinderella.”
Critics of Prince Andrew say this whole performance reeks of spin. A man who once vouched for Andrew now admits he was lied to—then tries to brush it all off with charm and a wine hangover. For many, the damage is already done.
And if you’re hoping this is the last scandal from Andrew’s inner circle… don’t hold your breath.
