Washington, DC – In a bold return to the public eye, First Lady Melania Trump is set to address Capitol Hill Monday. Her remarks will spotlight the urgent fight against deepfake and revenge pornography.

The first lady will host a roundtable discussion on the “TAKE IT DOWN” Act. This bill seeks to protect Americans from non-consensual sexual image sharing. It targets harmful content—including AI-generated deepfake porn—that has already devastated lives.

Deepfake technology now fuels a new wave of abuse. High-profile figures like Taylor Swift and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have suffered from AI-manipulated images. Even vulnerable teenagers are not spared. Advocates warn that these digital assaults leave scars that last a lifetime.

The bill, originally introduced by Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, passed the Senate with bipartisan support. However, it stalled in the House. Now, Cruz is reintroducing the measure with backing from Democratic lawmakers like Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Madeleine Dean. “Our laws must evolve as technology does,” one supporter declared.

Melania Trump has a history of championing online safety. During her “Be Best” campaign, she raised concerns about digital abuse. “Children are suffering. We need to help them and educate them,” she told Fox News in October. Her new initiative underscores a renewed commitment to protecting vulnerable citizens.

Political insiders note a stark contrast between her hands-on advocacy and President Trump’s frequent absences from Washington. While the president has spent much of his early term in Florida, Melania is returning to DC to push for real change. “My first priority is to be a dedicated First Lady and an advocate for our country,” she stated in a recent interview.

Critics argue that this move may signal a turning point in the administration’s approach to domestic issues. With the bill now gaining momentum, many hope that bipartisan efforts will finally lead to meaningful reform.

As Washington grapples with the rapid evolution of technology, Melania Trump’s remarks could mark a significant step toward holding perpetrators accountable and protecting the digital dignity of every American.

    1. I would think more of her if her husband cared more about average people rather than just the rich and powerful. As far as someone/something tells what they claim or believe is the “Truth”.

  1. Shows how Mrs Trump has brains in addition to her beauty than two of the people she is standing up for that in my eyes are traitors that belittled her and her family

  2. Seems a little self-serving as an excuse to have Gov take down her (not deep fake) nude pictures from the internet.
Overall I agree that AI and how it is used must be regulated, but little could be achieved unless the agreement and regulation is international since somebody posting from Mexico or the UK would not be subject to USA regulations and our current administration is terrible about working well with other countries……UNLESS of course, we are talking BIG BROTHER censorship.
BeBest better be more concerned about children and seniors losing their healthcare when Gov cuts 880 Billions from those services as to give billionaires a tax cut…Because Trump new budget will increase the deficit by 3 trillions….
